14-time World Champion to return on SmackDown next week & immediately win a major WWE title? Potential twist explored
On Friday, December 27th, WWE will present the final edition of SmackDown for 2024, with fans expecting some shocking moments to take place on the blue brand. Many fans are curious to see the direction the WWE Women's Title will take in the coming months. The belt is currently held by Nia Jax, who won it at SummerSlam.
With this week's SmackDown having already been taped many are turning their attention to the following week. One major angle WWE could shoot on December 27th is Nia losing her title to a returning Charlotte Flair. The 14-time world champion has been out of action since December last year after she tore her ACL, MCL, and meniscus in a match against Asuka.
Now with The Road to WrestleMania 41 around the corner and Flair once again looking in top physical shape, The Queen can change the entire trajectory of the women's division on SmackDown by winning the WWE Women's Title from Nia Jax before 2024 comes to a close.
Having Flair win her 15th World Title could be a breath of fresh air for the blue brand. Charlotte could have a storyline with the likes of Tiffany Stratton, Candice LeRae, Bayley, Naomi, and more, which will culminate with an epic showdown at WrestleMania 41. At this point, this is just mere speculation and the fans will have to tune in to find out what goes down on SmackDown.
Charlotte Flair on inspiring WWE's next generation
Whilst many still see Charlotte as the daughter of Ric Flair, The Queen has very much carved out her iconic career on her own.
She has inspired many of the young stars of today. One of those performers is Tiffany Stratton. Flair recently recapped an interaction she had with Stratton whilst speaking on the Michael Kay Show:
"There is a future star, I mean she’s a star now, her name is Tiffany Stratton. She’s like, ‘It’s because of you I wanted to become a wrestler’ and I’m like, ‘Hold on, I’m not that old Tiffany, please don’t say that in interviews’ [laughs] But she’s that young. It blows my mind to realize that. I’ve had a hard time enjoying the journey and I’m just now learning how to enjoy the journey, I’ve been [constantly on] go. I don’t think about it all the time, but I got to meet Tiffany privately one day and we were just talking and I was just blown away by the impact I left on her and it felt really special." Having only been on the main roster for less than a year Stratton has already started to prove her quality. The Buff Barbie is also the current holder of the Money in the Bank briefcase. The future seems bright for Tiffany and many fans want to see her have a dream match with Charlotte Flair down the line.
