14-time WWE champion to return after a year & be added to title match at the last minute? Potential Saturday Night's Main Event twist explored

WWE Saturday Night's Main Event 2024 will air from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in less than 24 hours. The card features five spectacular matches, including four title bouts. Three champions will defend their titles, while the inaugural Women's United States Champion is set to be crowned.

The most recent episode of Friday Night SmackDown saw Michin and Chelsea Green win in the semifinals of the Women's United States Championship tournament. Following their victory, they are expected to face each other in a singles match at the TV special, and the winner will be crowned the first-ever Women's US Champion.

Fans are highly excited for the match between Chelsea Green and Michin. But, during the bout, we may see 14-time WWE Women's title holder Charlotte Flair make her surprise return and inject herself into the match, making it a Triple Threat at the last moment. This move could add an extra layer of excitement to the women's division on the blue brand, especially in the crucial upcoming year.

Former WWE Women's Champion expressed her initial thoughts after getting injured last year

The former WWE RAW Women's Champion has been absent from TV since suffering a torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus during a match against Asuka in December 2023. During her appearance on the Forever Young podcast, the 38-year-old revealed she had negative thoughts after her injury last December.

"When it first happened, I thought my life was over. [laughs] I was like, 'Oh my gosh, a perfect storm!' My husband [Andrade] had just come back to the company or was on his way back. I knew he was gonna be debuting soon, and I just, from the moment I was taken out, I just have kept telling myself that I'm gonna come back the best version of The Queen,” said Charlotte Flair.

However, this scenario is speculative at the moment. It remains to be seen if the Triple H-led creative has some shocking plans for the Women’s US Championship match.
