2 possible matches for AJ Styles at WrestleMania 35 following his clash with Vince McMahon
The wrestling world has been buzzing with various theories ever since AJ Styles attacked the head honcho of WWE, Vince McMahon, during the closing stages of the last episode of SmackDown Live. There have been numerous speculations following the incident.
The most probable of them is a possible feud between AJ Styles and the McMahon family. As AJ Styles has already faced Shane McMahon at WrestleMania 33, this time around he might be facing a different McMahon family member, Triple H.
But Triple H's current in-ring status is unknown due to an injury he suffered at Crown Jewel in November. Also, if he is deemed fit to compete at the mega event, then he might face Batista instead, as the seeds for this encounter were already planted on the 1000th episode of SmackDown Live during a brief reunion of all 4 members of Evolution.
The current angle might be a way to move AJ Styles out of the WWE Championship picture, and give the main-event spotlight to other superstars next in line. Recently Mustafa Ali has been developing some momentum, as he managed to pin Daniel Bryan and Andrade 'Cien' Almas on the last two episodes of SmackDown Live.
By the looks of it, Daniel Bryan might feud with rising superstar, Mustafa Ali, after The Phenomenal One is done chasing the WWE Championship.
This leaves AJ Styles without any substantial direction going into the show of immortals. Given his current stature in the company, AJ Styles is expected to feature in a marquee match at WrestleMania 35.
Here are 2 possible marquee match-ups for The Phenomenal One at WrestleMania 35.
#2 The Undertaker
This might seem a bit out of the blue at first glance, but WWE has the habit of changing the booking directions during WrestleMania season.
For instance, during the build-up to WrestleMania 32, when Shane McMahon returned to WWE after a long hiatus, they booked him in a feud with The Undertaker all of a sudden, without logic. In that feud, The Deadman indirectly represented Vince McMahon against Shane McMahon.
So something along similar lines may be in the works right now. WWE's new start promise in the past few weeks also corroborates this theory, as the WWE Universe would definitely love to witness a monumental WrestleMania showdown between The Phenomenal One and The Deadman.
