2 Reasons why Becky & Seth vs Corbin & Lacey is a good idea and 2 why it isn't

A decent Stomping Grounds PPV saw Seth Rollins somehow defend his Universal Championship against Baron Corbin in the main event, thanks to Becky Lynch. On the RAW following the PPV, we saw the first match being officially announced for the upcoming Extreme Rules.

Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans challenged Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch in a winners take all match with both the Universal and RAW Women's Championship on the line. The champs accepted the challenge, but under the condition that if the challengers lose, they will not get any more opportunities for their titles.

With the match being set now, let's take a look at two reasons each for why it was a good idea to book it and why it wasn't. Feel free to express your views in the comments section below.

#4 Is a good idea: Top faces vs Top heels

The two you hate vs the two you love!
The two you hate vs the two you love!

The very basic rule of pro wrestling is that faces go up against heels. This not only makes for good storytelling, but it also ensures the fans are engaged with the feud, both during promos and the actual match.

Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch are the faces of the men's and women's division of WWE and are the biggest babyfaces on the show. On the other hand, Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans are two heels who everyone hates from the bottom of their hearts.

It is a match between the top faces and the top heels of the company and should be an interesting contest.

#3 Is not: The match is predictable

There's no way these two are losing it!
There's no way these two are losing it!

I'm not sure how many of you had the same experience, but last night when Lacey Evans was announced as the special guest referee, I pretty much knew how the match would go and how Becky Lynch would interfere to help Seth retain. While it was still fun to watch the action go down, the match and the result were predictable.

The same is the case with this mixed tag team match as well. With both the Universal and RAW Women's title on the line, and this also being Seth and Becky's first match together, there's no way they are losing it. Can you imagine how upset the WWE Universe would be if they lose their titles at Extreme Rules?
