2 things WWE did right and 2 things WWE didn't do right on RAW and SmackDown Live this week (1 & 2 July 2019)

It was a decent week for WWE

Paul Heyman is the new Executive Director of RAW, while Eric Bischoff is the new Executive Director of SmackDown Live. As a result, the anticipation was high from WWE this week. While RAW was certainly an excellent show, SmackDown Live was a subpar show this week.

We are less than two weeks away from Extreme Rules, which is the next pay-per-view of WWE. The storylines developed significantly on RAW and SmackDown Live this week. Five matches are already confirmed for Extreme Rules, and we likely to see more matches for the show next week. Several impressive matches took place on RAW and SmackDown Live this week. Moreover, the segments were also praiseworthy.

Here we discuss two things WWE did right and two things they didn't do right on RAW and SmackDown Live this week.

#2 Did right: AJ Styles' heel turn

​

A huge shock took place on RAW this week when AJ Styles turned heel. Styles and Ricochet had a rematch of last week but the latter put his title on the line this week. Given the dexterity of the two men in the shared circle, the produced another awe-inspiring match this week. Although Styles won the bout last time, Ricochet picked a stunning victory this week.

Following the match, AJ Styles shocked everyone by attacking Ricochet. Styles teamed up with Gallows and Anderson to decimate the US Champion. Gallows and Anderson delivered a Magic Killer, and Styles gave a vicious Styles Clash to Ricochet from the rope. Styles finally made a long-awaited heel turn this week.

The Phenomenal One has been teasing a heel turn for a long time but it finally happened this week. Styles turned into a bad guy after two years and it could rejuvenate the career of the Phenomenal One, and the reunion of the Club could make things interesting.
