20-time champion to attack Cody Rhodes and help Solo Sikoa at Money in the Bank 2024? Exploring likely swerve
Cody Rhodes could face a huge betrayal at the upcoming Premium Live Event, Money in the Bank. At the show, The WWE Champion will team up with Randy Orton, and Kevin Owens to take on The Bloodline.
This betrayal for Cody Rhodes could be from none other than his mentor Randy Orton himself. While this might shock everyone, it could be a brilliant plan pulled up by the Viper himself to finish The Bloodline 2.0.
Back in 2016, Orton joined the Wyatt family and actually became part of the faction. Leading up to WrestleMania, he would turn on them and finish the group from the inside. He would then face Bray Wyatt at that year's WrestleMania and take the WWE Championship as well.
The Legend Killer could do the same this year, he could join Solo's Bloodline, be with them for a while, and then kill them from the inside. This will not only help Cody Rhodes get rid of the Bloodline problem, but the entire SmackDown roster would be thankful to The Viper.
At this moment, given their momentum, going head-to-head with Solo and his men makes no sense. A trick like this from Randy Orton could work incredibly well.
There were initially no plans for Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40
WrestleMania 40 was the biggest night in Cody Rhodes' career. It is funny to note that only a few months before the show, his position at the event wasn't clear and there were no plans in place for him. Yes, that's right, and this was revealed in the WWE's WrestleMania 40 documentary released 24 hours ago.
After The Rock's surprising return, The American Nightmare asked Triple H where this left him and what the plans were. The Chief Content Officer was honest and admitted that he had no idea what plans were in the works for Cody Rhodes.
"Obviously, his next question is, where does that leave me? I’m, like, not sure yet. So that’s on me to figure out cuz this is all happening in real time. We’re gonna see, at least that’s how I saw it is, we’re going to see what the reaction is."
The fans' reaction was in favor of Rhodes and the rest is history. He overcame the 1300-day reign of Undisputed Champion in Roman Reigns as well as interference from The Rock and The Bloodline, creating one of the most historic moments at the biggest WrestleMania of all time.
