28-year veteran to step out of retirement after a decade at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames? Subtle hint explored

WWE Survivor Series WarGames is the upcoming and final premium live event of the Stamford-based promotion in 2024. Fans are already excited to see what will unfold and what matches are scheduled to take place at the event. Amid the anticipation, it seems that 28-year veteran and current RAW General Manager Adam Pearce may have hinted at coming out of retirement after almost a decade.

The last time Adam Pearce wrestled in the squared circle was nearly a decade ago when he faced Ace Steel during an MPW event on December 12, 2014. That match ended in a double disqualification. Since then, Pearce has only been involved in two matches in WWE. First was the Universal Title #1 Contender Gauntlet Match, where he was coerced by Roman Reigns.

The second was a tag match in 2021 where he was paired with Braun Strowman on WWE RAW. However, in both cases, Pearce did not actually compete in the matches. Recently, Pearce posted a photo of himself delivering a piledriver to an opponent from one of his past matches. The photo was captionless, but fans have been speculating about its meaning.

Some believe that Pearce was subtly showing Kevin Owens how to properly execute the move. This is due to The Prizefighter using the banned piledriver on Randy Orton during a recent episode of SmackDown. Others think the post could be hinting at Pearce's return to in-ring competition.

These speculations have been further fueled by Pearce’s recent on-screen tensions with SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis. A potential return to the ring could set the stage for a clash between Team Aldis and Team Pearce at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames.

While an in-ring return for Pearce at Survivor Series WarGames seems unlikely, it’s more plausible that the post was a response to Owens using the banned move in WWE. For now, fans will have to wait and see how the buildup to Survivor Series: WarGames unfolds in the coming weeks.

Adam Pearce could make a major announcement on the upcoming episode of WWE RAW

The upcoming episode of Monday Night RAW could feature Adam Pearce making a major announcement regarding the Women's United States Championship.

The RAW General Manager is expected to officially introduce a tournament on behalf of the red brand and reveal the participants. Since the Women's US Title is dual-branded, Pearce will not be introducing an Intercontinental Women's Title.

It makes perfect sense for the RAW GM to announce a tournament to crown the inaugural Women's US Champion, seeing as how the SmackDown GM Nick Aldis got the honor of introducing the new title to the WWE Universe on this week's show.
