3 Biggest Things WWE could be planning for SmackDown Live this week (7 May 2019)
With Money in the Bank approaching fast, WWE is building storylines for the show. SmackDown Live offered a remarkable episode last week, and the blue brand will be eager to continue the good run.
Kevin Owens continued to mock Xavier Woods and Kofi Kington after turning heel. As a matter of fact, Owens and Kingston had a huge brawl last week. Becky Lynch and Bayley locked horns for the first time on the main roster when the former defeated the latter. Roman Reigns was put in a handicap match, but the Big Dog overcame the B-Team.
The male and female participants for two Money in the Bank Ladder matches were revealed last week, and they will represent the blue brand. The men's ladder match participants Finn Balor and Ali faced Andrade and Randy Orton in a tag team match as the team of Balor and Ali won the bout. Asuka and Kairi Sane defeated a local team while Lars Sullivan continued his destruction.
The upcoming SmackDown Live episode will take place at the KFC YUM Center in Louisville, Kentucky. WWE already announced that Shane McMahon would crown the new SmackDown Tag Team Champions after the Hardy Boyz relinquished the twin belts. Ali will face Andrade in a one-on-one bout while a huge Six-Woman tag team match is set to take place.
Here we discuss three things WWE could be planning on SmackDown Live this week.
#3 Asuka and Kairi Sane could be announced the opponents of IIconics at Money in the Bank
Kairi Sane has taken the Women's Tag Team division by storm after arriving on SmackDown Live. The Pirate Princess has become a new tag team partner of the former SmackDown Women's Champion, Asuka. Apart from defeating the local team last week, Sane pinned Peyton Royce a couple of weeks ago.
It has not been a fruitful run for the IIconics since they won the Women's Tag Team Champions at the Showcase of Immortals. Bille Kay and Peyton Royce have been losing bouts every week after winning the twin belts.
It is no secret that Kairi Sane and Asuka will be the next challengers of the IIconics. With Money in the Bank just two weeks away, the match could become official this week. Considering the impressive run of Asuka and Kairi Sane, the Japanese duo might win the twin belts at Money in the Bank.
