3 biggest things WWE secretly told us on Smackdown Live before WrestleMania 35 (2 April 2019)
It was the last episode of the blue brand before the Grandest Stage of Them All and the elation was sky-high this week. Following some blockbuster episodes in the last few weeks, Smackdown Live was anticipated to have a spectacular show. It was an excellent episode of Smackdown Live as the final chapter closed before WrestleMania on Sunday.
The WWE Champion Daniel Bryan had a contract signing with Kofi Kingston who crossed several hurdles to headline WrestleMania while AJ Styles and Randy Orton had a brawl on Kevin Owens Show. Surprisingly, the recently crowned Smackdown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair was absent from the show, but Becky Lynch appeared to announce that she will become a double champ in New Jersey.
The Miz won the Falls Count Anywhere handicap match against the Sanity, and it will certainly boost his confidence. Alexa Bliss announced that the Usos will defend the twin belts against three other teams at the Grandest Stage of Them All. Moreover, Samoa Joe obtained momentum after beating Ali.
Here, we discuss three things WWE secretly told us on Smackdown Live this week:
#3 New Day and Hardy Boyz don't have any tag team match in New Jersey
Vince McMahon's billion dollar company gave an unforeseen surprise when Alexa Bliss announced that the Usos will put the Smackdown Tag Team Titles on the line against Rusev and Nakamura, Aleister Black and Ricochet and the Bar at the Show of Shows. Considering the New Day and Hardy Boys are part of the blue brand, it is certainly an appalling decision. New Day is involved in the WWE Championship storyline while the Hardy Boys will take part at Andre the Giant Battle Royal match.
Considering the performance of Xavier Woods and Big E last week, several fans expected a title shot for the two New Day members. They achieved an insurmountable task last week when they overpowered five other teams in a Tag Team Gauntlet match. With the WWE Championship storyline, they have been the focal point of Smackdown Live.
Hardy Boyz reunited when Matt Hardy returned to Smackdown Live. Considering their legacy, they were expected to compete for the Smackdown Tag Team Titles, but it is not likely to happen.
