3 current WWE champions who may lose their push before WrestleMania 41

With the road to WrestleMania 41 right around the corner, you would assume the current champions in WWE would be a major part of the company's plans come April 19 in Las Vegas. However, there is still a lot of time between now and The Show of Shows, with plenty possible between now and then.

With that in mind, we are going to take a look at three current holders of WWE championships who may lose their push before WrestleMania 41 next year.

#3 - The Irresistible Force may become easy to resist for WWE management

One person who has had a career-defining year is Nia Jax, the 40-year-old star would first win the Queen of the Ring tournament before going on to defeat Bayley at SummerSlam for the WWE Women's Championship, a title she still holds today.

One unlikely alliance that has formed during her time as champion has been her friendship with Miss Money In The Bank, Tiffany Stratton.

Given the fact that Stratton is a certain threat to Jax's reign as the holder of the briefcase, it certainly feels like a case of 'keep your friends close and your enemies closer.'

Stratton has teased cashing in on Jax on several occasions, and with WrestleMania season fast approaching now may be the time to do it.

If Stratton does indeed cash in on Jax in the next month or so, their feud and rematch for the gold could be settled as quickly as the Royal Rumble on February 1.

With many assuming that Tiffany would go on to retain in that match, Jax would then fall into uncertainty just mere months before WrestleMania 41.

One match that WWE officials seem high on is Stratton vs. a returning Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania. Before 'Mania was confirmed to be in Las Vegas earlier this year, Stratton spoke of her desire to face off against Flair at 'Mania 41 in an interview with MuscleManMalcolm.

"I heard WrestleMania 41 is going to be in Minnesota, or it’s rumored, and I’m from Minnesota, so I think night one, main event, me versus Charlotte Flair."

#2 - The Judgment Day's time at the top has come to an end

Arguably the most lackluster championship reign of 2024 has been Finn Balor and JD McDonagh's as the World Tag Team title holders.

The Judgment Day's Irish duo captured the belts off of R-Truth and The Miz on RAW this past June and have rarely defended the belts since then.

Another reason why their time with the titles has been seen as a relatively drab affair has been Balor's world title aspirations, putting his tag team title reign on the back burner. This creative decision certainly serves no purpose for the tag team division as a whole on RAW.

One person who is certainly not a big fan of the current iteration of The Judgment Day is former WWE head writer Vince Russo, who recently shared his thoughts on the group on the latest edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW.

"Judgment Day is a freaking joke. And the reason they're a joke is the way that they're booked. I don't believe that they can beat anybody, and no one else watching the show does either. There's zero heat," Russo said. [From 20:25 onwards]

Balor and McDonagh are set to face off against the War Raiders on Monday Night RAW next week, with their World Tag Team Championship on the line.

With the pair seemingly set to lose the gold next week, alongside The Judgment Day's time as a faction on shaky ground, Finn and JD may both find themselves with little to do heading into WrestleMania season in 2025.

#1 - The sun sets on Nakamura's reign

One of the biggest shocks to come out of Survivor Series last month was Shinsuke Nakamura capturing the United States Championship for a third time after he defeated the ever-so-popular LA Knight.

Nakamura has been with the company for almost a decade and whilst his early years in WWE saw him become an enigmatic fan favorite, his days of winning Royal Rumbles, main-eventing WrestleMania, and challenging for World titles seem long gone.

Many believe that Nakamura's win over Knight was merely to serve as a shock factor on the night, with him expected to lose the gold back to LA in the coming weeks or a new contender before the end of the year or at the start of 2025.

While every WWE fan respects Shinsuke for his long and tenured career, it would be no surprise to any if he finds himself not on the card for WrestleMania, United States Title in hand or not, by the time April 19 comes around.
