3 future feuds that were teased at AEW Fyter Fest
While a lot of the talking points coming out of Fyter Fest involved the unprotected chair shot that Cody Rhodes took as well as Jon Moxley and Kenny Omega continuing their build to All Out, there were also other shots fired in some form or fashion.
Matches that were already planned did get some focus, like Allie facing Brandi Rhodes and Omega facing Cima at Fight for the Fallen. But while those matches are already in the cards, it doesn't mean that wrestling promotions don't plan months in advance with some of their planning of programs between stars.
Since All Out is next month, Adam Page needs to be kept busy until he squares off with Chris Jericho for the right to become the inaugural All Elite Wrestling Heavyweight Champion. Page will next be facing Kip Sabian at Fight for the Fallen as Sabian was on commentary during the four-person match won by Page.
With the next show less than two weeks away, even more feuds will likely be teased as AEW builds to All Out. Stars like Jungle Boy, Darby Allin, MJF and many of the tag teams will likely have matches on the card. But will they be announced matches or ones created from feuds alluded to at Fyter Fest? Here were three such feuds that were teased at the show.
#3 Cody Rhodes vs. Shawn Spears
The most blatant feud that was teased for the future was obviously the chair shot from Shawn Spears to Cody as he literally called his shot with the chair blast. After Rhodes battled Darby Allin to a time-limit draw, Spears rushed the cage with Cody's back turned and before he could say 'hi', Spears blasted him in the head with the chair.
Spears was primarily a face while in WWE but it looks like he's going to get a chance to tap into his dark side. It might be something that he wanted to do while in WWE but never got the green light to do so.
Until the weekly show starts, outside of liking particular wrestlers, it's a little hard to define every Superstar that is a heel and every one that is a face. MJF and Jericho are likely heels as is the Dark Order. Spears seems like he'll fall to that side, but after that, who knows.
Whether the two will face off at All Out or before then is up for debate. Rhodes is set to team with his brother against the Young Bucks at Fight for the Fallen, so All Out seems like a good bet.
