3 Hilarious botches that you probably missed this week on SmackDown Live (July 9th, 2019)
SmackDown Live this week was the final stop for WWE on the road to Extreme Rules this weekend and once again it was dominated by Shane McMahon and his bid to exact revenge on Roman Reigns.
Monday Night Raw didn't go to plan for The Best in the World since Cedric Alexander decided to pop up and help Reigns to get even with Shane and Drew McIntyre. This week on SmackDown Live, Reigns was pushed into the main event after McMahon removed Kevin Owens from the building so that Ziggler could take on The Big Dog instead.
Once again, Shane's plan failed, but whilst all of the focus was on the main event of the night, there were a number of other interesting things going on with the Women's Division and the Tag Team Division ahead of this weekend's pay-per-view which made way for a number of mistakes that many members of the WWE Universe picked up on.
#3 Rowan's kick
Daniel Bryan and Rowan defend their SmackDown Tag Team Championships this weekend at Extreme Rules in a triple threat match that also includes Heavy Machinery and The New Day. This week on SmackDown Live, the final build-up to the show saw Otis take on Bryan and Xavier Woods in a triple threat match where all of their partners were at ringside.
Of course, chaos ensued when the three stars outside decided to brawl and this was when Rowan looked to be about to boot Tucker, but instead, he hit his elbow with his leg and tripped over him. This was WWE's way of moving the focus ahead of the ad break so that the match could then be restarted, which seems to be the standard practice now that Vince McMahon doesn't want any wrestling going on whilst there are ad breaks.
