The match card for the Clash of Champions could prove to be huge.

The recently concluded WWE's biggest event of the summer, SummerSlam 2019, proved to be a huge success. Not only did WWE receive a lot of praise from both critics and fans but the event also managed to be a huge commercial success. However, all that is in the rearview mirror now as WWE gears up for its next pay-per-view - Clash of Champions.

Scheduled for September 15, 2019, Clash of Champions will be held at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. Creative has already started building up to the event. As a matter of fact, it laid down the breadcrumbs for a few potential clashes for September 15 this week on Raw and SmackDown.

Furthermore, with Sasha Banks returning this week on Raw, plus WWE potentially pushing Braun Strowman in the main event scene, it would not be wrong to say that the recent turn of events has surely stirred up things in WWE. Thus, expect the match card of the upcoming pay-per-view to feature some mouthwatering matches.

So, without further ado, in this article, we take a look at 3 huge matches WWE could be planning for Clash of Champions.

#3 Drew McIntyre vs Andrade in the finals of the King of the Ring tournament

This week on its flagship show, WWE announced that they would be bringing back the King of the Ring tournament next Monday on Raw.

Even though they have not revealed any of the matches or brackets for it, WWE did reveal the 16 participants - The Miz, Ricochet, Cedric Alexander, Drew McIntyre, Cesaro, Baron Corbin, Sami Zayn and Samoa Joe representing the red brand and Elias, Kevin Owens, Chad Gable, Andrade, Shelton Benjamin, Buddy Murphy, Ali and Apollo Crews representing the blue brand.

Furthermore, according to the recent reports, the finals of the tournament is scheduled to take place at Clash of Champions, and McIntyre and Andrade could eventually be final two men fighting each other to become the new King of the Ring.

Well, there is no denying that the likes of Andrade and McIntyre are two hot favourites to win the whole thing. While McIntyre's qualification for the finals seems all but obvious from the Raw brand, the case is not as simple when it comes to the blue brand.

Kevin Owens, Ali, and Andrade seem ahead in the race compared to the rest on the blue brand. However, expect WWE to have Shane McMahon play his tricks to cost KO the qualification. On the other hand, given his recent back-to-back victories, Andrade might just tip over Ali by the nearest of margins to qualify for the finals.
