This year's Royal Rumble PPV was fairly enjoyable. Given the fact that it was 7 hours long, the entire WWE Crew involved worked efficiently to keep the fans entertained until the end.

Of course, there were several low points in between too. However, as an overall show, WWE succeeded in setting important scenarios for the future.

Speaking of the future, now that we are officially part of this year's Road To WrestleMania, let us take a look at a few interesting observations from the 2019 Royal Rumble Pay Per View.

#3 Why did Erick Rowan help the NEW Daniel Bryan to retain his WWE Championship?

Erick Rowan attacked AJ Styles during the WWE Championship match last night, and before anyone could realize, it seemed as if Rowan and Daniel Bryan forged an alliance of sorts.

But the question remains- Why?

Perhaps Rowan has the same agenda regarding consumerism and environmental concerns as (the NEW) Daniel Bryan...

But there has to be something more than that. Remember, both Rowan and Bryan were part of The Wyatt Family, even if Daniel Bryan left the Brotherhood shortly after. Perhaps this could be a reunion for the Wyatt Family, especially given the fact that Luke Harper has also been cleared to wrestle.

Maybe this is Rowan's idea of jumpstarting a new phase of his career by joining forces with Bryan, while also is leaving the past behind.

Erick Rowan has certainly been part of various bizarre and unconventional storylines before. But it is safe to say that his newly-formed alliance (if it is one) with Daniel Bryan might be the most intriguing one yet.

Whatever the case may be, the fans certainly expect a lot of things to unfold on this week's SmackDown Live.
