From Elias becoming the new 24/7 Champion on Shane McMahon Appreciation Night to R-Truth regaining the 24/7 Title from Elias after the Main Event, this week's edition of WWE SmackDown Live (28th May 2019) featured a lot of contrasting moments indeed.

I felt that several 24/7 Title shenanigans occurring throughout the night made last night's show more entertaining than it had any right to be. On top of that, the SmackDown live Tag Team Division seems to have a definite creative path for the time being. With that being said, most of the episode did not have enough newsworthy moments to hook the viewers in.

Here are a few interesting observations you may have missed during this week's edition of SmackDown Live.

#3: Kevin Owens dropped a huge mystery at the beginning of the show

Before Owens would go on to face Kofi Kingston last night, The Prizefighter revealed that he was not behind a suspicious backstage assault on Big E last week.

There is always a chance that Kevin Owens could have been lying, as it is ingrained in the nature of his character to do so. But then again, the fact that Owens dropped this piece of information at the beginning of the show might indicate that there is a bigger twist to this story.

Whodunnit? If it wasn't Owens or Ziggler, then this question opens up a wide range of possibilities. Bray Wyatt and Aleister Black are characters that need a thread to link their appearance on the main roster.

Maybe nobody attacked Big E, and the man himself pretended to be injured for some potential reason.

What do you think? Who attacked Big E? The answer to this mystery could change the landscape of Kofi's reign as WWE Champion forever.
