The recently concluded Stomping Grounds Pay-Per-View turned out to be a decent WWE event, to say the least.

After all, the poor ticket sales rumours surrounding this Pay-Per-View lead to unoptimistic expectations from WWE fans. But in the end, Stomping Grounds featured great quality of Professional Wrestling matches that kept the audience engaging throughout the night.

The Pay-Per-View kicked off with Becky Lynch standing victorious against Lacey Evans, and the night ended with Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch celebrating the event's conclusion together.

Here are a few interesting observations from WWE Stomping Grounds 2019.

#3: The finish to Kofi Kingston vs. Dolph Ziggler was the best spot of the night

Kofi Kingston vs. Dolph Ziggler (WWE Championship Match) was one of the most awaited bouts heading into the Stomping Grounds Pay-Per-View.

The reason behind this is the Steel Cage Match stipulation that set Ziggler vs. Kingston apart from other matches on the same card.

However, it felt that the fans were less excited during the match itself. Perhaps it was added in the wrong spot on the Pay-Per-View card or maybe there were a couple of pacing issues on behalf of both performers.

Nevertheless, it was the finish to this particular matchup that stood out as one of the best moments of the night. Kofi Kingston dove right past Dolph Ziggler between the ropes and successfully retained his WWE Championship at the same time.

It is genuinely amazing to see creative finishes still being applied to gimmick matches when it comes to Pay-Per-Views. After all, Kofi Kingston is very well known for introducing creative spots in the past (30-Man Royal Rumble Match).

I would even say that last night's Steel Cage Match would have been received in an underwhelming manner if it wasn't for the finish we all remember.
