This year's WWE Super ShowDown pay-per-view just concluded, with fans finally having witnessed a much-awaited wrestling bout between Goldberg and The Undertaker.

I would personally say that WWE Super ShowDown 2019 was a stronger show than Crown Jewel as a whole, but it goes without saying that gigantic shows like these tend to garner underwhelming critical reception, mainly because of fan service moments and a glorified house show tone in general.

So even though Super ShowDown 2019 was slightly more watchable than Crown Jewel, it does not mean that WWE finally struck on a formula to make these shows work in terms of quality.

#3 Why it made sense for Randy Orton to defeat Triple H all along

Randy Orton and Triple H renewed their rivalry at WWE Super ShowDown 2019

Former Evolution members and few of the most well-known superstars in WWE history, Triple H and Randy Orton faced each other in the ring at WWE Super ShowDown 2019.

Regardless of what you thought about the match itself, Randy Orton winning the bout at this particular stage in both of their careers made sense right from the very beginning.

Let's face it: Randy Orton is younger than Triple H. The Viper has been constantly performing as part of the main roster in recent times, whereas Triple H is bound to wrestle on a part-time basis when you think about the multiple responsibilities he has to carry-out in WWE nowadays.

Moreover, a loss against Randy Orton at this stage in his career won't affect Triple H's legacy anyway. Whereas Randy Orton winning that match added a certain amount of legitimacy to his legacy as the 'Legend Killer'.

Orton is no spring chicken himself, but he is relatively young when compared to Triple H.

Out with the old, and in with the new (even if we have to rely on nostalgia every now and then): That is how it works in the WWE, and this is also why Randy Orton was bound to win his match against Triple H at WWE Super ShowDown 2019.
