3 interesting storylines for Batista after WrestleMania 35

The dream match!
The dream match!

The WWE Universe tuned into Monday Night Raw this past week, expecting a celebration on the eve of Ric Flair's 70th birthday. Never in their wildest dreams did they imagine what was going to happen.

A returning Batista was seen entering Ric's room, possibly beating him to a pulp, and dragging the legend out of the room. He proceeded to address The Game, and every sign is hinting at a grudge match between Triple H and Batista at The Grandest Stage of Them All.

But what after Mania? Let's take a look at three intriguing storylines for The Animal after the show of shows is done and dusted with.

#3 A feud with a newly turned Daniel Bryan

Will we see this feud being reignited?

A loss to Kofi Kingston at WrestleMania leads to Bryan coming back to his senses, and becoming the ever loved babyface again.

Batista comes back to SmackDown and attacks Bryan, reigniting their unfinished storyline from WrestleMania 30. Batista could imply that he never forgot how Bryan embarrassed him and ruined his much-anticipated return to WWE by pinning him in the main event of WrestleMania 30.

This could lead to months of build-up and finally culminate at a main event level match at Summerslam 2019.

#2 Helps to elevate a newly crowned Rollins

Barring another last-minute change of plans on WWE's part, we are bound to get our new Universal champion at WrestleMania 35. As is usually the case with Lesnar, he could disappear for a while after WrestleMania 35, leaving Rollins clamoring for a challenger for his Universal title.

An excellent way to elevate Rollins as a top star would be to build up a program with Batista, who has just come out of WrestleMania after pinning Triple H. A storyline between Rollins and Batista could do wonders for The Architect, as he defeats The Animal in successive bouts in PPVs.

Seth could come out of this feud looking like a legit main event player, someone WWE direly needs at this point of time. This would be a perfect feud to begin Rollins' journey towards making the Universal title mean something.
