3 interesting things which could happen on WWE Raw following SummerSlam (12 August 2019)
The previous edition of Raw was the go-home episode before WWE's biggest party of the summer - SummerSlam 2019. And to be honest, WWE did exceedingly well in hyping up the pay-per-view.
From Seth Rollins getting mauled once again by The Beast, to the likes of the current Raw Women Champion Becky Lynch teaming up with Trish Stratus to take on Charlotte Flair and Natalya in a dream tag-team match up, the night had it all. The duo of Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross winning the Women's Tag Team Championship in a Fatal Four-way matchup was another major development of the show.
However, Bill Goldberg returning to replace The Miz in his match against Dolph Ziggler at SummerSlam was clearly the highlight of the show. While the writing was always on the wall ever since Ziggler started taking shots on the former WCW Champ, WWE deserves a lot of credit for carrying out the whole segment the way it did.
The upcoming episode of Raw will be live from Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It's certainly expected to be a blockbuster episode, given Raw following The Big Four PPVs are always huge. While WWE has already announced Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross versus The Kabuki warriors for the Women's Tag Team Titles, expect creative to lay down the breadcrumbs for a few fresh and high profile feud on the upcoming episode.
So, without further ado, let's take a look at three interesting things which could happen on Raw following SummerSlam.
#3 The Kabuki Warriors become the new Women's Tag Team Champions
WWE has announced that the newly crowned Women's tag team Champions, Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross, will be defending their Tag Team Titles against Asuka and Kairi Sane on the upcoming episode of Raw.
Given, the rumors of WWE ending the Wild Card rule very soon, I don't see creative prolonging this feud after August 12. The Kabuki Warriors are one of the hotshot tag teams in WWE at the moment, and a title run seems imminent. Furthermore, with SmackDown moving to Fox very soon, Vince is likely to keep the Women's Tag Team Titles on the blue brand.
Thus, expect creative to crown a new Tag Team Champs on the upcoming episode of Raw. On another note, WWE could even have Nikki Cross falter unintentionally to cost her team the titles. This would then lay down the breadcrumbs for a Cross vs Bliss feud for the following weeks.
