WWE announced an Elimination Chamber match featuring 6 female tag teams for the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view scheduled to take place on 17th February. The winners of this match will become the first ever WWE Women's tag team champions of the new era.

WWE revealed that there will be 3 teams each from RAW and SmackDown Live in the match. From the red brand, the team of Nia Jax and Tamina and the Riott Squad have already qualified, with Bayley and Sasha Banks favorites to take the third spot tonight. From the blue brand, the IIconics and the team of Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville are already in the match while the third team from SmackDown Live is unknown.

The roster of SmackDown does not have any established tag team in the female division, so expect WWE to call back a former tag team to fill that spot. Here are the 3 female tag teams who should be the sixth team of this match:

Earlier, WWE had the Divas tag team division and team LayCool were one of the top teams of that division. The current female tag team division lacks depth so, the company might have to call some of its former superstars back to bolster the division.

Team LayCool used to primarily feature on SmackDown as a heel tag team but they can be booked as faces on SmackDown Live given that the B show has two heel tag teams already in the IIconics, and Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville.

Michelle McCool returned to WWE at Royal Rumble 2018 where she eliminated 5 female superstars while Layla El has not been on WWE shows since she retired in 2015. However, a one-off appearance at the Elimination Chamber is something both the women should not mind.
