3 mistakes Triple H needs to fix at WWE SummerSlam 2024
WWE SummerSlam 2024 is less than a week away and excitement levels are through the roof as the wrestling world gears up for the highly-anticipated premium live event which will set the tone for the fall season. This year's Biggest Party of The Summer is set to take place at Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio.
Cody Rhodes will defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against the dangerous Solo Sikoa. Gunther will look to wrestle the World Heavyweight Championship away from Damian Priest. Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley will settle their differences with Dominik Mysterio lurking in the background.
With such a packed card, Triple H can rectify many of the errors he made in the recent past, setting things right in the process. On that note, let's look at three mistakes Hunter can fix at SummerSlam 2024.
#3. LA Knight finally wins the big one at SummerSlam
WWE has committed to pushing LA Knight, yet the company has delayed the inevitable payoff. The initial push began last summer. Knight won the SlimJim Battle Royal, defeated The Miz at Payback, and successfully teamed with John Cena against The Bloodline.
However, the push came to a temporary halt when Knight lost to Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel 2023. Eventually, the Megastar fizzled out from the championship scene as he progressed to a feud with AJ Styles.
Ironically, Styles received two World Championship opportunities after WrestleMania XL, while Knight has remained aloof from the main event scene. Fortunately, Triple H could finally give LA Knight his moment at SummerSlam.
Logan Paul has proven to be a great heel, and fans can't wait for him to lose the US Championship. If Knight could pin The Maverick in the latter's hometown, it would send the bold statement that the Megastar has arrived in the big leagues.
#2. Randy Orton comes calling for Gunther
El Campeon's World Heavyweight Championship reign is in serious jeopardy as he faces the relentless and dedicated Gunther at SummerSlam. Many fans expect The Ring General to walk out as champion, but the circumstances under which he became the number one contender are worth noting.
At The King and Queen of the Ring Premium Live Event, Gunther defeated Randy Orton with a botched pin. Triple H acknowledged the referee's fault, but there was no legitimate follow-up on television. Orton continued his feud with The Bloodline as The Ring General shifted his attention towards the World Heavyweight Championship.
The 14-time World Champion was recently written off with a brutal assault by The Bloodline. While fans expect Orton to eventually feud with Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Title, he may move temporarily to RAW to target Gunther.
#1. Bron Breakker wins the Intercontinental Championship
Bron Breakker's rampage was temporarily stopped at Money in the Bank when Sami Zayn defeated the young star to retain the Intercontinental Championship. Fortunately, Breakker quickly regained momentum and restored the lost aura.
The former NXT Champion has repeatedly laid waste to the IC Champion and recently obliterated Ilja Dragunov to become the number-one contender. All signs point towards Bron Breakker winning the title.
Triple H can finally fix the mistake he made at Money in the Bank by having Breakker win the gold at SummerSlam and take his career to the next level.
