3 Reasons Jon Moxley Left WWE To Join AEW

One Of The Biggest Moments In Wrestling History Happened At Double Or Nothing
One Of The Biggest Moments In Wrestling History Happened At Double Or Nothing

While it may seem insane now, someone who main evented a WWE PPV just two short months ago, that being Fastlane in March, showed up at another PPV but it wasn't WWE.

Jon Moxley, formerly known as Dean Ambrose in WWE showed up after the double or nothing main event between Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho and attacked both men and the referee for a gigantic reaction from the AEW fans.

If this is a war we are getting into, double or nothing will go down in history for two reasons. Firstly, for being a great first show from a new promotion and second for having a major star jump ship from WWE just one month after leaving.

There are probably hundreds of reasons why Jon Moxley joined AEW, but these are the main three for why he left WWE to join their direct competition, AEW

#3 Reliable Booking

Poor Jon Just Wants Good Booking

If you enjoy the booking in WWE or not there is one thing that is undeniable, it is not at all consistent.

Vince McMahon can change his mind at the flick of a switch so any long term story they could have told Moxley about, there is no telling where the storyline would have turned out. In January Vince could tell him he's winning the universal title at WrestleMania, and then at the show, he could be in the pre-show battle royal.

Moxley is smart enough to know that the Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes and Tony Khan are smart when it comes to wrestling and booking and if he is told something is happening, it most likely will unless a better story emerges. He wants guarantees, and in AEW he is virtually guaranteed to be booked better than in WWE.
