3 reasons why Braun Strowman should not face Seth Rollins at Clash of Champions
SummerSlam 2019 is in the history books and we are onto the next phase of WWE programming. Clash of Champions is our next PPV, and from the looks of it, WWE may be planning a huge match between Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman for the Universal Championship.
On the surface, this matchup might be brilliant. Rollins is on red hot form right now after defeating Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam and a clash against the Monster among Men could be an unpredictable match.
However, when we dig a bit deeper, we will start uncovering some not so pleasant ramifications if this match were to happen next month. In this list, we will take a look at a few reasons why Braun Strowman should not challenge Seth Rollins for the Universal Title at Clash of Champions.
#3 WWE would be booking themselves into a corner
WWE would be in a deep dilemma while figuring out how the bout between Rollins and Strowman should go. Seth Rollins is officially WWE's Beast Slayer. Rollins is one of the only few Superstars to beat Brock Lesnar in two separate PPVs (three if we count WrestleMania 31).
WWE just legitimized Rollins as the Universal Champion by having him beat Brock Lesnar clean. Having Rollins lose in his first feud would be a total waste of the effort WWE put in Lesnar and Rollins, which does not make any sense.
On the other hand, WWE damaged Strowman after SummerSlam 2018 and just recently built him back up. Another failed Universal Title challenge may send Strowman in a downward spiral again.
A DQ or count-out finish would not go well with the fans in attendance, as seen at SummerSlam when WWE decided to end the WWE title match with a double count-out.
WWE will have to be careful while booking this match.
