We are less than a day away from the 2019 edition of Extreme Rules. As of now, we are set to witness ten matches during the event ranging from normal singles matches to mixed tag team Extreme Rules matches with multiple major titles at stake.

There are many intriguing matchups like the singles bout between the current United States Champion Ricochet and AJ Styles, and the Extreme Rules Mixed tag team match between the team of the Universal Champion Seth Rollins, and the RAW Women's Champion Becky Lynch and the team of Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans.

However, one of the most anticipated matches of the night is between the team of Roman Reigns and The Undertaker and the team of Drew McIntyre and Shane McMahon. The two teams will clash in a No Holds Barred match.

In my opinion, over all other matches of the night, this tag team clash will headline the event. In this article, we will take a look at a few reasons why the No Holds Barred tag team match will headline Extreme Rules 2019.

As mentioned earlier, we have ten bouts for the night, including both the Universal Title and the WWE Title at stake. However, the WWE Title bout is held under normal stipulations, thus making it "kayfabe" unfit to headline the event. The Universal Title is held under mixed tag team stipulation - making it a less serious contender for the main event.

The only other bout which could challenge the Deadman would be the Last Man Standing battle between Braun Strowman and Bobby Lashley. However, since WWE are not big on either of them, we do not see them headlining the event.
