The excitement was high for the final SmackDown Live before Super ShowDown this week. RAW delivered a great episode with some interesting segments and impressive matches. The blue brand did not let down the fans as we witnessed a stellar edition of SmackDown Live before heading to Saudia Arabia. SmackDown Live had some unforeseen surprises this week.

There is no denying that the dream match between Goldberg and Undertaker is the most anticipated match of the Super ShowDown. Following the appearance of the Deadman on RAW, Goldberg showed up on the blue brand. As a matter of fact, it was the SmackDown Live debut of the former Universal Champion.

Goldberg took a shot at the Phenom and he promised to bring the aggressive side of himself at Super ShowDown. We saw a major surprise during the segment as Undertaker's music hit. The Phenom was standing behind Goldberg and they had the long-awaited face-off before the mega clash in Jeddah. However, Undertaker disappeared after the face-off and the two men didn't have any physical altercation.

Here we discuss three reasons why Undertaker didn't attack Goldberg on SmackDown Live.

Without a shadow of a doubt, the dream match between Goldberg and The Undertaker will headline the show. Though the match should have happened decades ago, it still gives goosebumps. The best part of this bout is that the two men never locked in the past and it will be their first battle in the squared circle.

Prior to the face-off on the blue brand this week, the two men also confronted each other at Royal Rumble in 2017. Since they didn't put hands on each other in the last face-off, WWE wanted to save it for Super ShowDown. Goldberg's matches are generally short and it will be interesting to see if he manages to deliver a lengthy match against an opponent like Undertaker.

Regardless of the result of the match, it will be exciting to see Jackhammer and Tombstone Piledriver. Considering the anticipation of the rivalry, the company might decide to extend the rivalry till Summerslam.
