327 Days! Yes, that's the time that has passed since the night Bobby Lashley defeated Roman Reigns at WWE Extreme Rules 2018.

Shane McMahon scripted one of the biggest upset victories of the night when he pinned Roman Reigns at WWE Super Showdown with some help from his friend, Drew McIntyre. This was the first pay-per-view defeat of Vince McMahon's golden boy in 11 months but what's surprising here is that Vince picked Shane to end Reigns' undefeated streak.

Though this streak was not publicized because of the break that Reigns took, this winning streak existed! But, now the Creative team has ended Roman Reigns' dream run and it looks like they may hand him his second consecutive PPV loss on 23rd June at the hands of Drew McIntyre.

#3 To avoid Shane McMahon's victories over the Miz from becoming meaningless

Perhaps, we can say that Vince McMahon used the Miz only to build up Shane McMahon as a strong opponent for Roman Reigns. But, in case Roman Reigns would have ended up beating Shane McMahon clean at Super Showdown, then the losses that the Miz took at the hands of the Prodigal Son would have meant nothing.

After all, the Miz is one of the most decorated superstars in WWE history, he has always been there for the company and he rarely gets injured. These characteristics make him one of the most valuable assets of WWE. If Shane would have simply stayed down till the 3-count after eating a spear, the Miz would have been very disappointed.

However, Vince McMahon took account of his previous booking decisions and took the right step forward.
