3 scenarios where fans might start turning on Roman Reigns again

A recipe for disaster!
A recipe for disaster!

The wrestling fans were enthralled to the limit this past week on Monday Night Raw, when The Big Dog made his long-anticipated return on the red brand.

The fans cheered in unison for Roman Reigns when he announced that he is coming back. Reigns stated that he is in remission and is all set to make a comeback. Little did everyone know that Roman was going to get into action almost immediately, as he came out later along with Seth Rollins, to rescue Dean Ambrose from a vicious attack.

But how long is this fervor going to last? Let's take a look at three possible scenarios where fans go back to booing Roman Reigns again.

#3 When the Shield eventually splits again

It's only a matter of time before The Shield reunion takes place again. The occasion could be the upcoming PPV, Fastlane, or the grandest stage of them all, WrestleMania 35. But what will happen after the reunion is done and dusted with?

The Shield is at a point where all three members are legit main event players, and this isn't an ideal situation for them to keep being in a three-man team. They will split eventually, and this wouldn't fare well for Roman.

The first Shield breakup taught us that Reigns can't get cheered without being a part of The Shield, except some rare occasions. And the same is bound to happen this time too.

#2 The modern era's Hulk Hogan

This is the mistake that WWE made when they first broke up The Shield. They immediately thrust Roman in the main event with a major win against Randy Orton at Summerslam 2014. He didn't look back and kept dominating the main event scene since that point on.

The fans simply don't like when the company forces Reigns upon them and turns him into this era's Hulk Hogan, who can come back from the worst of beatings to win a match. The moment WWE does this again (and they will), the fans would immediately turn against him. A better alternative would be to treat him as a normal human being who doesn't always win or overcome incredible odds.
