3 superstars who can confront CM Punk on WWE NXT tonight
CM Punk is set to make a major appearance on the September 17, 2024, episode of WWE NXT. This will definitely be a special appearance as it's not always that The Voice of the Voiceless appears on the Tuesday show, and some stars from the brand could make his appearance much more interesting.
Last week on WWE NXT, it was announced that Punk would appear in tonight's episode. Many speculate that his appearance can be related to the NXT's premiere on the CW in the next few weeks on October 1 and 8, with the aforementioned shows being held at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois, the RAW star's hometown. However, knowing the history of appearances in the Stamford-based promotion, it's expected that some stars could ruin The Second City Saint's visit.
For this list, we will look at three superstars who can interrupt CM Punk's WWE NXT appearance.
#3. CM Punk insulted Lexis King last week on social media
Punk currently has his hands full as he is set to face Drew McIntyre at WWE Bad Blood next month, but that doesn't mean the former will be limiting his enemies on the company, no matter the brand.
After it was announced that Punk would appear on this week's episode, the RAW star took to his social media and posted Lexis King and called him absurd. It would be no surprise if King took offense to the insult and confronted Punk tonight, which can even result in some back-and-forth on the mic and in the ring.
#2. CM Punk and Drew McIntyre can meet at WWE NXT
CM Punk returned on this week's WWE RAW episode where he issued a chilling message to Drew McIntyre before their Hell in a Cell match at Bad Blood. Unlike before, the former's promo finished without surprise attacks because The Scottish Warrior claimed officials told him to stay home. However, this might not extend until tonight.
During Punk's NXT segment tonight, McIntyre could interrupt him. The latter can even bring his backup, Oba Femi, whom the main roster star said he wanted to team up with. However, this could also prompt Punk to receive assistance from the North American Champion's current rival, Tony D'Angelo.
#1. CM Punk could go face-to-face with one of the brand's current champion
It's no secret that The Second City Saint is quite close with several members of the NXT roster, among them is the brand's Women's Champion Roxanne Perez. While they may have a good relationship backstage, a different side of the champion can be seen tonight.
During Punk's segment, Perez can interrupt him and say that he is no longer the best in the world but is her, she can even state that she will be the guaranteed main event when she defends the title against Giulia. However, Punk can put her in her place and humble the champion.
