3 Surprises from NXT before Survivor Series (November 20, 2019)
After running riot on RAW, Triple H, the godfather of NXT, invited the main roster Superstars on the final NXT episode before Survivor Series and both brands invaded this week. What ensued was one of NXT's best episodes since moving to the USA Network. A number of good matches took place on the show and NXT hyped the upcoming War Games and Survivor Series as well.
RAW Women's Champion Becky Lynch was the first main roster Superstar to show up on NXT, facing Rhea Ripley in an astounding bout. Ricochet was another invading RAW Superstar and he squared off against Matt Riddle. After Kay Lee Ray defeated Dakota Kai, a huge brawl broke out between the women of all three brands. Winning the Ladder Match against Dominik Dijakovic, Adam Cole earned an advantage for The Undisputed Era at War Games. Following the Ladder Match, more RAW and SmackDown Superstars appeared on NXT, leading to a massive brawl to close the show.
There is no doubt that NXT delivered an incredible episode yet again. Let's talk about three surprises from NXT this week.
#3 Seth Rollins' appearance
The main event took place in the form of a Ladder Match, as Adam Cole faced Dominic Dijakovic. Delivering a mind-boggling bout, the reigning NXT Champion earned an advantage for his team at NXT War Games this weekend. Cole's celebration was cut short when RAW and SmackDown Superstars made their presence felt, surprising everyone with one of the best brawls in recent years.
It led to carnage between three brands, giving a preview of Survivor Series on Sunday. Drew McIntyre appeared in the ring and delivered a Claymore Kick to Dijakovic, but the former received a devastating powerbomb from Keith Lee. The two heavyweights, Keith Lee and Ivar, attempted suicide dives, taking down everyone outside the ring, and the fans in attendance at Full Sail University were awestruck.
Nevertheless, Seth Rollins' appearance was the biggest surprise of the segment, as the leader of Team RAW delivered a vicious superkick to Adam Cole. While everyone was down and Rollins was getting ready to stomp Cole, 'The Beastslayer' was confronted by Tomasso Ciampa. The two men put their hands on each other to close the show, leading to the possibility of another big brawl on the final SmackDown before Survivor Series.
