The stakes were high for WWE Super ShowDown this week, and we witnessed a great show. A total of ten matches took place in Jeddah; three titles were on the line at Super ShowDown, and the belts were defended successfully.

The Universal Championship match opened the main show when Seth Rollins took on Baron Corbin. In all honesty, not many people were excited about a match between Corbin and Rollins. The Beastslayer fought with a kayfabe injury after the vicious assault from Brock Lesnar on RAW. To the surprise of many, Corbin and Rollins delivered a good match, which saw Seth retain his title. Being a heel, Corbin delivered an End of Days to Rollins after losing the match.

Lesnar's music hit after that and The Beast marched to the ring to cash in the Money in the Bank contract. However, we saw a similar sight from WrestleMania when Rollins hit a Low Blow to Lesnar. The Beast was down and he was the recipient of many chair shots; Rollins stood tall, and Lesnar retained the right to cash in at a later time.

Here we discuss three theories for why Brock Lesnar didn't become Universal Champion at Super ShowDown.

#3 Rollins is likely to have a long run

Seth Rollins grabbed the most coveted prize of the red brand at the Showcase of Immortals when he conquered the Beast Incarnate. The Beastslayer has been a fighting champion since burning down Suplex City. The Universal Championship has been much more visible as a consequence.

Rollins' run as champion has been impressive - prior to Super ShowDown, he had an excellent rivalry with AJ Styles, as the Phenomenal One faced Rollins at Money in the Bank. Their match lived up to its lofty expected standards.

Considering Rollins' first WWE Title run lasted 219 days - demonstrating the company's faith in him - he might get a long run as the Universal Champion. It looks likely that Lesnar will either have to wait, or shift his focus elsewhere.
