3 Things we know about WrestleMania 41 six months in advance
Although WrestleMania 41 is six months away, the build-up to The Show of Shows has already begun in several ways. Top names like Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Seth Rollins, and John Cena have been fantasy-booked in a plethora of dream matches.
The Royal Rumble PLE is the traditional landmark that depicts the beginning of The Road to 'Mania, but WWE, especially under Triple H's creative regime, begins planning for the spectacle months in advance.
A lot can change in the six months leading up to 'Mania, but here are three things we know, as of now, about The Show of Shows almost half a year in advance:
#3. Cody Rhodes is seemingly planning to main event The Show of Shows again
Cody Rhodes recently appeared on The Pat McAfee Show, where he declared his intentions to have another marquee match at WrestleMania 41 without giving specific details.
"WrestleMania 41... I am looking to do what I've done three times now and enter the main event. But I think it will be something that, perhaps, is bigger than anyone anticipated," Cody Rhodes said.
The American Nightmare is currently the Undisputed WWE Champion, and he could hold the prestigious prize heading into The Show of Shows in Las Vegas. If he does so, Rhodes will certainly have a marquee showdown in Las Vegas.
The Rock, Roman Reigns, and Randy Orton are all potential challengers for Rhodes at the event. However, much of the match's appeal will depend on the background story and the star power of his opponent.
Nevertheless, Rhodes' confidence seems to suggest that Triple H has major plans for The American Nightmare on The Grandest Stage of Them All.
#2. The Rock may miss WrestleMania 41
Last weekend, The Final Boss made a stunning return at Bad Blood to staredown Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes in the ring, setting the rumor mill on fire. Fans began booking fantasy matches for The Rock, including a colossal Triple Threat, featuring Rhodes and Reigns.
Unfortunately, a recent update reported that The Great One may not be available for 'Mania 41 due to a heavy schedule. Considering the run he had as The Final Boss and the latest teases on TV, The Rock's absence would certainly hurt the star power of the show.
Rhodes mentioned a big match, and fans were convinced that he was referring to a one-on-one clash with The Final Boss, especially after their confrontation on the RAW After WrestleMania 40. However, if the recent reports are true, WWE would have to find a new opponent for The American Nightmare.
It is important to note that these are still rumors, and much can change within six months. Hopefully, The Rock could free his schedule to make time for a dream showdown on The Grandest Stage of Them All.
#1. John Cena will likely have his final WrestleMania match in Las Vegas next year
At Money in the Bank 2024, John Cena rocked The Cenation when he announced that he was going to retire from the squared circle in 2025. Cena publicly stated that the upcoming Royal Rumble and WrestleMania 41 would be his last as an in-ring performer.
The Champ's Retirement Tour will last for 12 months, and he is expected to work 30+ dates. However, the 16-time WWE World Champion is unlikely to make a comeback once he hangs up the hoots.
Therefore, The Cenation should accept that WrestleMania 41 will indeed be his last. As for his opponent, social media believes that Randy Orton would be a solid choice.
