3 Things that should not have happened at WrestleMania 35
WWE's biggest and the grandest pay-per-view of the year, WrestleMania 35 is in the rearview mirror. Of all the hype surrounding the epic event, it lived up to the expectations of the fans for the most part. Given the positive reviews of both WWE fans and critics alike, the show proved to be a huge success.
Well, while the match card consisted of a total of 16 matches including the kickoff show, the match between Kofi Kingston and Daniel Bryan was clearly the highlight of the show. It was not only the spellbinding performances of both the superstars that made this match great but the intensity and emotions involved were truly unparalleled. And no wonder the crowd popped once Kofi pinned Bryan to win the Championship.
However, it was not all smooth sailing for WWE as they did manage to miss a few tricks and ended of goofing up a bit. On top of that, the main event also turned out to be a damp squib courtesy of a botched ending.
So, without further ado, let's take a look at 3 things which should not have happened at WrestleMania 35.
#3 Shane McMahon defeating The Miz
The Miz took on Shane McMahon in a falls count anywhere matchup last night at WrestleMania 35. However, after dominating the match, for the most part, The Miz lost to Shane McMahon in a bizarre fashion.
The Miz nailed a devastating Supersuplex on Shane from a high platform only for Shane to land on top of him which resulted in referee counting the pin and awarding the victory to the former SmackDown Commissioner.
Well, The Miz was red hot as well as crazily over among fans in his recent stint as a babyface. As a matter of fact, his recent promo was highly appreciated by the WWE Universe. He had the momentum as well as crowd's sympathy after Shane attacked his father, thus, WWE should have cleverly used his momentum to hand him a major win at Shane and then launch him in the title picture against Samoa Joe.
Instead, WWE chose to have him lose to McMahon at the Grandest stage of them all. This may end up undermining him and I am afraid the feud might get underwhelming in the coming days.
