SmackDown Live delivered a great episode this week

AEW took the wrestling world by storm with Double or Nothing and the expectations were sky-high from WWE this week. A large number of fans were expecting a stellar episode of RAW but it did not reach the expectations.

On the other hand, SmackDown Live was certainly better than the red brand this week. Although it was not a top-notch episode of the blue brand, it had some exciting segments with some impressive matches.

Kofi Kingston defeated Kevin Owens in a rematch of Money in the Bank, while Carmella avenged the loss of last week by pinning Mandy Rose. The SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley locked horns with Lacey Evans as the latter lost the bout. The team of R-Truth and Roman Reigns faced Drew McIntyre and Elias in a Tag Team match. The Big Dog pinned Elias to earn a victory for his team. Earlier, R-Truth lost his 24/7 Title to Elias but the former won it back with the help of Roman Reigns.

Super ShowDown is just two weeks away and it was a good edition of the blue brand. Here we discuss three things WWE cleverly told us on SmackDown Live this week.

#3 R-Truth will hold the 24/7 Title for a long time

The fans were vocal when Vince McMahon's billion dollar company introduced the 24/7 Championship last week. Mick Foley unveiled the new belt and we saw three champions on its first night. Since it can be defended 24 hours, it is likely to change hands frequently.

R-Truth, who survived several times with the title, got pinned by Elias on SmackDown Live this week. Hence, we got four champions in a span of one week. However, R-Truth reclaimed the belt in the main event of the show when Roman Reigns assisted him.

There is no denying that R-Truth has been an entertaining champion and a large number of fans are loving R-Truth as the champion. Considering R-Truth is one of the funniest characters of the company, his comedy grabs the attention of the fans. Since R-Truth reclaimed the title on SmackDown Live this week, he is likely to stay champion for a while.
