3 Things WWE made clear on SmackDown before Survivor Series (22nd November 2019)
The penultimate SmackDown before Survivor Series was a great show as it managed to fulfill its only objective - hyping up this Sunday's PPV. There were some interesting storyline developments, along with one dream match.
The show started with a huge Triple Threat Match between Charlotte Flair, Rhea Ripley, and Sasha Banks, which was won by the first-ever NXT UK Women's Champion with a clever cover. We saw a brawl between Roderick Strong, AJ Styles, and Shinsuke Nakamura after Sami Zayn revealed the new design for the Intercontinental Championship.
'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt attacked Daniel Bryan during his match against The Miz. Bryan was about to bring back the Yes Movement when the lights went off and The Fiend hit the Mandible Claw on the former WWE Champion. In the main event, a huge brawl broke out between RAW, SmackDown, and NXT Superstars after Baron Corbin, Dolph Ziggler, and Robert Roode defeated Roman Reigns, Shorty G, and Mustafa Ali.
In this piece, we are going to take a look at three clever observations from the penultimate WWE show before Survivor Series:
#3 Keith Lee is being booked like a legitimate star
Keith Lee is another one of those monstrous WWE Superstars, who is destined for great things in the future. During the brawl at the end of SmackDown this week, Lee and Braun Strowman had a staredown and for a moment, the cameras were focussed solely on them. If in that insane riot, Lee managed to get attention, it tells you how highly WWE rates him.
He has everything to be a top draw Superstar. One look at Lee and you could tell that he is just the kind of Superstar Vince McMahon would push. Nobody needs to tell you Vince's obsession with giving the ' Big Men' of WWE a series of pushes. Lee is not your average big man and has incredible ability in the ring and no doubt the WWE Chairman likes what he sees.
