3 things WWE subtly told us at NXT TakeOver: Toronto

NXT TakeOvers are one of the most anticipated shows for all the wrestling fans out there. The standard that the brand has created for itself and its shows is a clear indication that WWE's future is bright and safe in the responsible hands of Triple H.

While NXT TakeOver: Toronto was not the best one when compared to the previous 25 editions, that's mainly because of our sky-high expectations from the brand. The main event, in particular, was one of the best matches in pro wrestling this year, in my opinion.

All the champions entering TakeOver tonight managed to defend their titles successfully, something which many didn't see coming. Right from the start up to the end, there were a lot of things WWE secretly told us on the show tonight.

Let's take a look at three of those subtle statements from NXT TakeOver: Toronto. Feel free to grace the comments section with your views and opinions of tonight's show.

#3 Matt Riddle will be one of WWE's biggest superstars in the coming days

Many fans, including me, were surprised to see Matt Riddle not being on the card of NXT TakeOver: Toronto. The Original Bro has been such an important part of this roster for the last year that the show seemed incomplete without him.

Thankfully, WWE had something in store for him as he walked out to the ring for an unadvertised brawl with Killian Dain. The monster from Sanity has been moved back to NXT thankfully, and he's on a roll to prove his worth.

The segment ended with the two crashing through a table, building more and more excitement for their eventual encounter. Riddle has been one of the hottest stars of the brand and is also becoming famous with the casual fans, thanks to his constant mocking of Goldberg and other legends on Twitter.

Even Triple H put him over after the show during his interview with Cathy Kelley, stating that a guy like Matt Riddle is tough to control.

You know, anything can happen, and with a guy like Matt Riddle... first of all, Matt Riddle will say anything, Matt Riddle will do anything. It's tough to tell him not to do anything. So, Matt Riddle walking out from the back, without any of us knowing he will call Killian Dain.

The future looks bright for the King of Bros, and if his recent post on Instagram is true, he might not be done for the weekend.
