3-time WWE Champion to come out of retirement to face Dominik Mysterio at WrestleMania 41? Looking at the chances
Dominik Mysterio might have invited unwanted trouble by passing an insincere remark about a three-time WWE Champion, Shawn Michaels. Dirty Dom's distasteful comment might prompt the WWE legend to stage a comeback for a match at WrestleMania 41.
But what did Dominik say? The 27-year-old superstar has snubbed The Heartbreak Kid by commenting on his hair. Dominik recently appeared on the No-Contest Wrestling podcast, where he spoke about his dull 0-3 WrestleMania record.
When the show's host, TJ Jefferson, tried to show Dom a positive side of it by reminding him of Shawn Michaels' 6-11 win-loss record, Dirty Dom shrugged off hearing Michaels' name. He quipped that nobody cared about Michaels ever since he lost his hair.
"Yeah, but nobody cares about Shawn. Like ever since he lost the hair, nobody cares about Shawn," Dominik said.
While Michaels might have a low win record at WrestleMania, he has attained the title of Mr. WrestleMania due to his incredible performances in the matches. His match with The Undertaker at WrestleMania 25 is considered one of the best in WWE history.
Shawn Michaels retired in 2010 after losing to The Undertaker in a Career vs. Streak match at 'Mania 26. However, he came out of retirement in 2018 for one match. It was for a tag team match as part of DX with Triple H against The Brothers Of Destruction (Kane and The Undertaker) at Crown Jewel 2018.
Although the match turned out to be an epic disaster, Michaels might think again about getting on with the wrestling gear to challenge Dominik Mysterio at WrestleMania 41.
The three-time WWE Champion is currently the Senior Vice President of Talent Development and oversees the creative aspect of the NXT brand, but he can still come out to wrestle one more time. Stone Cold Steve Austin came out of retirement for a match against Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 38, so Shawn Michaels could also repeat history at 'Mania 41.
WWE legend Shawn Michaels might challenge Dominik Mysterio after his potential feud with Finn Balor
It's only a matter of time before Dominik Mysterio and Finn Balor feud with each other. Balor and JD McDonagh lost the WWE World Tag Team Championship on the December 16 episode of RAW.
Dom might take swipes against Balor for losing the World Tag Team titles. That might bring Dom and Balor against each other. The two might feud at Royal Rumble next year, and after that, Shawn Michaels might begin his storyline with Dom.
At WrestleMania 41, The Show Stopper could defeat Dominik Mysterio on the grand stage. It remains to be seen how and when Michaels will respond to Dom's comments.
