Wrestling has given us a plethora of moments to remember and cherish forever. WWE superstars shed their sweat and tears, leaving their families for the majority of the year to travel across the states and compete in the squared circle.

After going through the pains and struggles for years, it's only fair that a wrestler gets to go out with their head held high. Sadly, that isn't always the case. Although most of the times, a superstar gets to leave the business on their own terms, amidst a sea of fans chanting their name, not every wrestler is treated as such on their way out of the WWE.

There have been multiple instances in the past when the WWE gave terrible sendoffs to their top stars. Let's take a look at the top three worst sendoffs in the history of WWE.

Although The Animal came back in 2014 for a final run in the WWE, the fans were almost certain that he wasn't coming back ever again, after what happened with Batista in 2010.

Batista had become a full-blown heel after attacking Rey Mysterio, his longtime friend. As WrestleMania 26 approached, Batista took advantage of an exhausted John Cena, moments after a gruelling Elimination Chamber match, winning the WWE title in the process.

What followed was a series of three straight defeats for Batista at the hands of Cena. Cena demolished The Animal on three separate occasions, with the last one being an "I Quit" match at Over The Limit PPV. Batista uttered the words on the mic, in an attempt to prevent Cena from throwing him onto the ramp from the top of a car.

Cena threw him anyway, leading to Batista sustaining several injuries. The next night on Monday Night Raw, Batista entered the ring on a wheelchair. After berating the WWE fans for not supporting him throughout the final months of his WWE run, he threatened them by stating that he'll quit the WWE.

This led to a sea of cheers. An enraged Batista muttered the words, "I quit", again, and left the WWE.
