3 wrestlers who may make their appearance at Royal Rumble 2019
The Royal Rumble is easily one of the most beloved stipulation pay-per-views in the history of pro wrestling. The idea has evolved from having 20 men, to 40 men at a point, and now even includes a women's match.
Many up and coming stars have won the Rumble en-route superstardom, examples are Batista, Rey Mysterio, and Roman reigns. Sometimes you have the old guard winning a Rumble match to just set up a match, for example Randy Orton in 2017, or Batista in 2014.
However, the most exciting is when someone you didn't expect to see in the Rumble, wins it. For example, Edge in 2010, or John Cena in 2008.
Here are 3 wrestlers who may make a surprise appearance at the 2019 Royal Rumble.
#3 Batista
Batista returning to wrestling is akin to the yearly rumours of the Rock's return, or how every year up until the 2017 Royal Rumble would see people say the Hardys were coming back. The Royal Rumble allows fans everywhere to dream about certain comebacks, and Batista is one of them.
After his failed WWE run in 2014, everyone has been wanting to see The Animal get a satisfactory exit from the company, so the last image of him isn't waving at the crowd like he is the Queen of England.
Batista has been aching for a return, and even though Triple H's injury may have put a damper on those plans, there are plenty of things the former champion can do if he returned at the Royal Rumble.
He could have a good run in the Rumble and be eliminated by a young star who then enters a WrestleMania feud with him. Finish that off, put someone over, and then hopefully stick around to end his career with a program against Triple H.
