There have been many superstars, both current and from the past, who have spoken out about their feelings regarding McMahon. While some have been critical of Vince, there have been a few who are not afraid to express their gratitude towards the former boss.

Here is our list of 3 WWE legends who are grateful to Vince McMahon:

#3 - The hardcore legend Mick Foley

Lisburn was the site for the recent Comic Con Northern Ireland. which took place on September 7th and 8th. Two of the guests at the event were Hall of Fame legends, Mick Foley and Rikishi.

During the event, SoCal Val hosted a session where fans were able to ask questions. One fan brought up the upcoming Vince McMahon Netflix docuseries and asked if Foley and Rikishi would give their thoughts about Vince. Foley expressed his gratitude towards his old boss:

"Whatever he did or did not do, I don't think many of us are allowing that to mess with our memories.... I'm choosing to appreciate him until I learn more about what may have gone down."

Mick Foley had an incredible career that spanned nearly three decades. During his time with WWE, Foley became one of the most iconic figures in company history. Foley was the ultimate underdog, becoming a three-time WWE Champion, and the inaugural Hardcore Champion. In 2013, Mick capped off his storied career when he took his rightful place in the Hall of Fame.

#2 - Hall of Famer Rikishi has "nothing but respect" for The McMahons

As previously mentioned, a fan at Comic-Con Northern Ireland asked if Rikishi and Mick Foley cared to give their thoughts on the Vince McMahon situation. Rikishi also spoke positively about Mr. McMahon with the following sentiments:

"I have nothing but respect for the McMahons. When I say McMahons, I say all of them. What's happening with him with Netflix, I'll make a decision when that comes out. But for now, I always believe in people having a second chance in life. Nobody's perfect. At the end of the day, I'd like to keep my happy memories of the McMahons."

Rikishi made his WWF debut in the early 90s as Fatu of The Headshrinkers. He would eventually change gimmicks, becoming known as The Sultan. However, he's probably best known for his iconic run with Too Cool, during The Attitude Era, as Rikishi. The infamous "stink face" became a fan-favorite maneuver. In 2015, the WWE honored Rikishi with induction into the Hall of Fame.

#1 - 16-time WWE World Champion John Cena has fond memories of his old boss:

During the 2024 Money in the Bank event, John Cena made a surprise return to announce his upcoming retirement tour. During the segment, Cena expressed his appreciation to the fans for their support and went on to inform the audience that he would be officially retiring at the end of 2025.

Throughout his legendary career, John Cena has had several storylines that involved Vince McMahon. It was clear that Mr. McMahon was fond of Cena, and rightfully so. People have asked John multiple times about his feelings towards Vince. When AP News asked Cena if he was able to reconcile his feelings about Vince. He had the following to say:

"I love Vince McMahon. He's everything you could want in a great friend, business partner, father, mentor. I love the man, but his business dealings are his business, and what he shares with me. That's between us."

Although surrounded by a lot of controversy, it's clear that Vince McMahon certainly remains positive in the minds of at least some former talent, which only further indicates the former WWE Chairman's complicated character.
