3 WWE legends’ sons who are ready to follow in their father’s footsteps
The upcoming generation of WWE Superstars might see sons of prominent legends getting into professional wrestling. The company already has stars who are sons of former wrestlers. For example, Roman Reigns is the son of the late Sika Anoa'i, who is a WWE Hall of Famer.
Similarly, The Rock is the son of Rocky Johnson, another WWE legend. Moreover, superstars like Bron Breakker, Dominik Mysterio, Charlotte Flair, The Usos, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Randy Orton, and Cody Rhodes hail from a rich wrestling lineage.
Therefore, this listicle will discuss three WWE legends whose sons may soon enter the wrestling business:
#3. Gage Goldberg
Former WWE World Champion Goldberg's son, Gage, has kept the doors open for the wrestling business. The 18-year-old is pursuing his football passion and is currently a Linebacker for the Colorado Buffaloes.
Last month, during an interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Senior Editor Bill Apter, Gage opened up about the chances of him getting into wrestling in the future. The youngster said that he has kept wrestling as his backup plan in case football doesn't work out for him.
"I mean, yes and no, for sure, because wrestling would be cool, being amped up and everything and having all the adrenaline, but then also I know my place right now is with football, so I'm gonna live this out and see where that takes me. If it doesn't work out, could be wrestling, don't know. It's a back-up plan," Gage said.
Goldberg has also previously expressed interest in getting his son into wrestling. In an interview with Corey Graves in 2022, Da Man said that Gage pursuing wrestling like him is "highly possible!" However, the veteran remarked that he doesn't want to push his son and would like to be a role model for the 18-year-old.
#2. WWE legend Mark Henry's son Jacob Henry
The World's Strongest Man's son, Jacob Henry, signed a deal with the Stamford-based promotion earlier this year. Jacob could make his debut through the company's development territory, NXT. The father-son duo attended the August 12, 2024, edition of Monday Night RAW.
According to Mark Henry, his son has always wanted to be a wrestler, claiming that Jacob's ultimate dream is to main-event WrestleMania. The 18-year-old has been pursuing wrestling since his school competition days and recently joined the University of Oklahoma's wrestling business.
"His true passion is pro wrestling. He's not trying to be the Olympic champion. He said, 'Dad, I'm not trying to go to the Pro Bowl or win the Super Bowl.' He said, 'I want to main event WrestleMania. I wanna go to Japan and be champion,'" Mark Henry said in an interview with TMZ Sports.
#1. Scott Steiner's son Brock Rechsteiner
WWE Hall of Famer Scott Steiner recently confirmed that his son Brock Rechsteiner is also keen on joining the wrestling business.
Notably, Brock is the cousin of reigning Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker. In a recent interview with ESPN, Big Poppa Pump confirmed that his son would follow in his footsteps in the future.
"Yeah, that's the plan. That's what he wants to do. So whatever makes him happy," Scott Steiner said.
The rumors of Brock Rechsteiner pursuing a career in wrestling started after his recent Instagram post in which he was seen wearing the iconic World Heavyweight Championship strap.
Meanwhile, Scott Steiner also said that unlike Bron Breakker, his son Brock "will be a Steiner" when the young star gets into wrestling.
"He [Brock] will be a Steiner; so that helps out. But he's a good athlete, so the sky's the limit for him. I'll help him out any way I can. I'm happy for him watching him fulfill his athletic dreams. So once football is over, he'll do it with wrestling." [From 01:39 to 02:29]
Brock currently is pursuing his football career and is a Wide Receiver for the Jacksonville State Gamecocks. It remains to be seen when Brock Rechsteiner will make his debut in the Stamford-based promotion.
