3 WWE PLEs that can host The Rock vs. Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes if WrestleMania 41 plans get canceledÂ
The Rock's surprise appearance at WWE Bad Blood 2024 convinced several fans that a blockbuster Triple Threat Match is in the works for WrestleMania 41. However, there is a solid chance that might not happen now.
There is no denying that the Road to WrestleMania XL would not have felt as special as it did had The Rock not been an integral part of it. While The Final Boss went to fulfill his Hollywood commitments after The Show of Shows, it was clear that he would return to resolve his unfinished business with The American Nightmare as well as The Original Tribal Chief.
However, word got out recently regarding The Rock possibly missing WrestleMania 41. If the rumor turns out to be true, below are three other premium live events where the three megastars can finally give fans the once-in-a-lifetime clash.
#3. WWE Royal Rumble 2025
If his filming commitments are the reason why The Rock cannot perform at WrestleMania 41, then he might work with WWE to execute the next chapter of The Final Boss storyline earlier than expected.
The 2025 Royal Rumble Premium Live Event will mark the 25th anniversary of The Brahma Bull winning his first (and only) Royal Rumble Match. So, that could justify him challenging for the Undisputed WWE Championship at the first PLE of next year.
Moreover, if that is the only wrestling match he would be having next year, then it makes perfect sense for Roman Reigns to be part of it too. That, in turn, could open the door for John Cena or any other top RAW Superstar to win the 2025 Men's Royal Rumble Match.
#2. The first Saudi Arabia PLE of 2025
If there are no major shakeups, WWE will continue with its tradition of hosting two PLEs in Saudi Arabia next year. Out of those two, the first one might be the one where The Rock has his next match.
Over the years, bonafide legends such as The Undertaker, John Cena, Shawn Michaels, and Goldberg have competed in the Saudi Arabia PLEs. So, if The Great One manages to wrap up his acting duties by May, there is no doubt that the brains behind 'Saudi Vision 2030' would spend a fortune to get the opportunity to host The Rock vs. Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes.
While these events generally take place in the last week of May, next year's edition might get pushed back by a couple of weeks if that is what it takes to land The Final Boss.
#1. SummerSlam 2025
Following the success of the two-night formula for WrestleMania, WWE will now be hosting SummerSlam over two nights. This change will come into effect starting August 2025.
It goes without saying that WWE has every reason to make the first-ever two-night SummerSlam look as big as WrestleMania. One way to do that would be by giving fans a generational bout that is tailor-made for The Grandest Stage of Them All.
With that being said, in the current wrestling landscape, there is no bigger dream clash than a Triple Threat Match pitting The Rock against Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes. Interestingly, SummerSlam 2025 will emanate from the same venue where The Great One's last world title reign ended. That detail could easily be put into the story.
