3 WWE rumors we hope are true and 2 we hope aren't: Roman Reigns leaving SmackDown, Top champion injured? Bloodline member set to be kicked out
Welcome to the latest edition of WWE rumors, where we bring you the biggest stories from the world of sports entertainment.
Roman Reigns has undoubtedly been the standard-bearer of SmackDown for years. But it looks like he will be leaving the blue brand soon. Meanwhile, a current WWE champion is said to be hurt following Bad Blood.
With The Rock back into the fold, a major storyline swerve has been mapped out that could see a Bloodline member being kicked out of the group. After prevailing inside Hell in a Cell, CM Punk's status for Crown Jewel has been revealed.
Last but not least, we have learned plans for Jey Uso's title reign. Continue reading as we dive into the top five rumors of the week.
#5 Hopefully True: Roman Reigns could leave SmackDown for RAW
Monday Night RAW will have a new home come January 2025 when the flagship show moves to Netflix.
The change could force Triple H to revamp the roster on both brands. According to Xero News, Roman Reigns could end up moving back to RAW permanently for the first time since 2019.
Whether The Bloodline storyline will continue on the red brand remains to be seen. Regardless, a potential brand switch could give The Original Tribal Chief a change of pace. There is a laundry list of talents waiting for an opportunity to get in the ring with Roman Reigns.
#4 Hopefully Not True: Is Cody Rhodes injured?
Cody Rhodes had a rough outing at the Bad Blood Premium Live Event. While he didn't defend his Undisputed WWE Championship, he partnered with his long-time rival Roman Reigns to beat Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu in a tag team match.
The closing moments of the bout saw the highly anticipated return of Jimmy Uso, who crawled out from underneath the ring to take out Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa. That wasn't it as Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson came out at the end of the show to have a staredown with the three babyfaces in the ring.
After Bad Blood went off the air, fans caught Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes arguing in the parking area. The situation escalated when The Prizefighter snapped at The American Nightmare and viciously attacked him before security rushed to the scene.
Fightful Select recently learned that Cody Rhodes was a "little roughed up" following the physical altercation with Kevin Owens.
The two men received critical acclaim as rumors indicated that WWE officials were "very happy" with the way the entire angle played out.
#3 Hopefully Not True: CM Punk set to miss WWE Crown Jewel
A burned-out CM Punk kicked off Monday Night RAW this week to cut an emotional promo where he addressed his immediate future.
The Second City Saint announced that he was banged up and said he was going away for a while to be with his wife. The 45-year-old stalwart said he was unsure when he would be back again, leaving fans wondering whether he will miss the Crown Jewel Premium Live Event on November 2.
Unfortunately, CM Punk is not expected to wrestle at the upcoming Saudi Arabia event. While fans would have loved to see The Straight Edge Superstar face someone in a dream match, his hiatus didn't come as a surprise.
CM Punk previously made some controversial remarks about fellow wrestlers making "blood money" for working Saudi Arabia events. His participation at WWE Crown Jewel would have stirred social media.
The Best in the World is likely to renew his feud with Seth Rollins once he returns to RAW. The two men had a brief face-off on the entrance ramp this past Monday.
#2 Hopefully True: WWE Superstar Dominik Mysterio set to dethrone Jey Uso
Jey Uso is riding high as the Intercontinental Champion. He recently made his first successful title defense against Xavier Woods on RAW. However, a disappointing update on his title reign has come to the fore.
If Xero News' recent tweet is anything to go by, Dominik Mysterio will dethrone The YEET Master as the WWE Intercontinental Champion.
The reported decision may upset some fans, but it will allow Jey Uso to rejoin The Bloodline storyline. The seeds for the OG Bloodline reunion were planted when Jimmy Uso and Roman Reigns reunited at WWE Bad Blood.
#1 Hopefully True: Solo Sikoa's position in The Bloodline could be in jeopardy
The Rock's WWE return has changed the entire complexion of The Bloodline saga.
Solo Sikoa was caught saying, "It's part of the plan," immediately after The Final Boss showed up at Bad Blood. However, The Street Champion of the Island may soon find himself in trouble for his recent failures.
Rumor has it that Jacob Fatu will turn on Solo Sikoa later this year. Is the Samoan Werewolf working in cahoots with The Rock? Only time will tell, but Solo Sikoa potentially turning babyface for the first time would set the stage for the OG Bloodline to get back together.
