3 WWE Superstars AEW could sign and 2 they must not
The launch of All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has changed the professional wrestling landscape considerably. Tony Khan, the founder of AEW, aims to take it to number one position in a few years. He is ready to either poach or sign WWE Superstars in a bid to attract viewers.
AEW has already signed Chris Jericho who will make sure he gets top wrestlers from WWE. Few wrestlers who are unhappy in WWE would intend to switch sides if they are offered more money or perks.
Here is a list of three WWE wrestlers, AEW could hire and two they must not.
#5 Sign - Goldust
Goldust comes from a family of wrestlers. His father is Dusty Rhodes, and half-brother is Cody Rhodes. At 50, he is as awesome in the ring as he was a few years ago. WWE did not pay the Rhodes brothers the kind of respect which they deserved as a tag team.
Cody is an executive vice-president at AEW hence it is quite natural he would intend to hire Goldust and give him few glorious years. The Bizarre One could use his flamboyance to further promote AEW and take it to greater heights. There is a strong rumor he may leave for AEW.
#4 Avoid - Jinder Mahal
Jinder Mahal won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in 2017 and WWE US Championship in 2018. Given his record, he was unable to gain much popularity in WWE as fans believed he was not skilled enough to hold such prestigious titles. His mic skills are also mediocre which does him no good.
The Modern Day Maharaja can blame WWE on badly written storylines, but it would do AEW no good to sign him. He would not make a huge impact there as well.
