3 WWE Superstars who can retire Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar's name may be seldom mentioned on WWE television. But The Beast Incarnate's impact on the Stamford-based promotion, and combat sports in general, can never be forgotten or understated.

In January 2024, Lesnar was implicated in the Janet Grant lawsuit against Vince McMahon. The former Universal Champion was written off future creative plans with no set timeline for a return. However, WWE has attempted to make moves to bring the UFC legend back.

Furthermore, fans also expect Lesnar to eventually return. Given his age and limited time left in the ring, The Beast's next run will likely be his last. On that note, let's look at three WWE Superstars who can retire Brock Lesnar.

#3. Gunther has been built as "The Next Big Thing"

When Brock Lesnar debuted in WWE in 2002, he was billed as "The Next Big Thing." A larger-than-life powerhouse with freakish athleticism and strength, Lesnar's skill set and attributes immediately led him to great things.

Gunther's rise to glory has taken a similar route. It may have been slightly slower, but The Ring General has been built as an indestructible force. He has only lost once on the main roster- a surprise defeat to Sami Zayn at WrestleMania XL.

Before hanging up his boots, Lesnar should put Gunther over, passing the torch to the current World Heavyweight Champion. The former NXT UK Champion would receive a massive rub, establishing himself as "The Conqueror" or, in Pat McAfee's words, "The Alpha Male of our Species."

The Ring General and The Beast had a chilling confrontation during the 2023 Men's Royal Rumble, which had the fans on the edge of their seats. Therefore, fan interest in Gunther vs. Brock Lesnar is pretty high.

#2. "Big" Bronson Reed could end Brock Lesnar's career

The second half of 2024 has seen the rise of a new monster in WWE. "Big" Bronson Reed took it upon himself to become a top star in the business. The former NXT North American Champion brutalized Seth "Freakin" Rollins on the RAW after SummerSlam.

His rampage didn't stop there as Awesome Truth also suffered his wrath. Reed entered a feud with Braun Strowman, which quickly spilled out of control. They destroyed cars and rings. However, a returning Rollins helped Strowman defeat Reed to end their feud.

Nonetheless, Reed has been unstoppable, and WWE wants to add credibility to his status as a monster. Defeating and retiring Brock Lesnar would solidify the Australian star as the next legitimate "big guy" in WWE. It would elevate his stock and put the locker room on notice.

Reed would become a top star, possessing an aura similar to The Great Khali and Big Show in their respective primes.

#1. Oba Femi

Oba Femi is one of the most dominant and intriguing characters on NXT. The longest-reigning NXT North American Champion had an impressive run on the brand, but his recent loss to Tony D'Angelo has raised questions about his future.

The recent losses could be a sign of better things to come as The Ruler could be called up to the main roster. The Nigerian star would need statement wins to re-establish dominance and assert his claim.

Enter Brock Lesnar. The Beast Incarnate had an intriguing program with Omos. Lesnar brought the best out of The Nigerian Giant. Femi is an equally powerful star, and he could be thrust into Omos' shoes.

Femi could gain a massive win over Lesnar soon after his call-up to the main roster. This would enhance his credibility and put him at the forefront of bigger opportunities.
