3 WWE Superstars Triple H pushed, and 2 he misused in 2024
The state of WWE has changed drastically over the past few years. Right after the height of the pandemic, Vince McMahon found himself in hot water, which led to his resignation. Stephanie McMahon took over briefly before her husband, Triple H, was promoted to Chief Content Officer in late 2022.
Since starting his new era, Triple H has made many creative changes. Some of those changes have improved things for the viewing audience, while some of his decisions have been questionable. Today, we look at some of the good and not-so-good decisions he has made with the main roster superstars.
This is our list of three WWE Superstars has pushed and two he has misused in 2024:
PUSHED: Former Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker
The Steiner Brothers are arguably one of the greatest tag teams ever. Their brawling, powerhouse style made them one of the most dominant duos of their time. That roughneck style of wrestling lives on in Rick Steiner's son, Bron Breakker.
Bron Breakker joined the main roster earlier this year after being drafted. He hit the ground running and quickly became one of the top stars. His big break came at SummerSlam when he beat Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Championship. Bron would lose the title to Jey Uso in September, but it only took about a month for him to regain his IC Title on RAW in October. The future is bright for the second-generation superstar as he thrives as the IC champion.
MISUSED: Former RAW Tag Team Champion Omos
Standing over 7 feet tall and tipping the scales at over 400 pounds, Omos is larger than life in every way. He has the size and presence to be a major star, but things haven't gone his way in WWE for some reason.
Many veterans and legends, including The Undertaker, have praised The Nigerian Gaint.
"He's such a good guy, and you like to see people like that succeed. I hope they find something good for him," The Undertaker on Omos
During a recent episode of The Undertakers' Six Feet Under podcast, The Deadman talked about Omos and his current status with WWE. Taker admired The Nigerian Giant and compared him to Andre the Giant.
The Hall of Famer went on to say that Omos is the type of wrestler who doesn't need titles to be successful.
PUSHED: New Tribal Chief Solo Sikoa
Many believe The Bloodline saga has been the center of the professional wrestling world for the past few years. Roman Reigns went on a historical title run, but he was surrounded by an elite cast of family members, including his original Enforcer, Solo Sikoa.
Solo signed with WWE in 2021. After spending a short time with NXT, he was brought up to the main roster to become Roman Reigns' muscle for The Bloodline. After WrestleMania XL, Roman took a break from action.
At that time, Triple H gave Solo Sikoa the keys to the ride, and the rest is history. As we head into Survivor Series: WarGames, Solo will lead his Bloodline group into battle against the Original Tribal Chief and crew.
MISUSED: 2-time WWE United States Champion Austin Theory
When WWE signed Austin Theory, there was a lot of hope and hype around the young, up-and-coming star. He had a pretty entertaining run as Vince McMahon's protégé, leading up to becoming Mr. Money in the Bank. Austin also had two reigns as the United States Champion.
Theory started teaming up with Grayson Waller last year, forming A-Town Down Under. The duo captured the WWE Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 40. Despite nearly 100 days as champions, they never really moved the needle.
Grayson Waller and Austin Theory are talented, but both deserve singles stardom. Austin has the potential to be a world champion, and according to his partner, Theory is the future.
PUSHED: Former Intercontinental Champion 'Main Event' Jey Uso
In 2010, Jimmy and Jey Uso started their WWE journey with the former developmental brand, Florida Championship Wrestling. Shortly after, The Usos debuted their main roster; the rest is history.
They became one of the greatest tag teams in modern history, with 10 WWE tag title reigns so far.
The Bloodline saga has dominated the past couple of years. Early on in the storyline, The Usos were a major reason for The Bloodline's dominance. After getting betrayed by Jimmy last year, Jey went on to have a great singles run on RAW.
Triple H and his creative crew made a great decision by pushing Jey, culminating with putting the Intercontinental Title around his waist. The YEET Master is currently one of the top babyfaces in the company.
