35-year-old WWE star to quit SmackDown in frustration after Saturday Night's Main Event? Next potential direction explored
WWE Saturday Night's Main Event 2024 came to an incredible conclusion and marked the official climax of the year as the final major show. The card featured five spectacular bouts.
The night was a bumpy ride for the superstars involved in the matches, as some clinched big victories while others faced losses. One SmackDown star, Michin, who competed and lost a close fight, may leave the blue brand and join RAW following a sour defeat.
Fans were excited about Chelsea Green's match against Michin for the inaugural Women's United States Championship. The 35-year-old dominated most of the match; however, Green kept her cool and resorted to some heel tactics from her arsenal, which ultimately helped her find perfect openings, leading The Hot Mess to secure the historic win.
Following her defeat, during the upcoming episode of Friday Night SmackDown, frustrated by her loss, Michin could announce her departure from the blue brand amid the transfer window and join RAW. The upcoming year will mark the beginning of a new era as the Monday Night show will officially move to Netflix on January 6.
Triple H even posted a picture with Michin and acknowledged that she has a great future ahead, recognizing her hard work, which could also be interpreted as a subtle hint that the 35-year-old star might jump ship and receive a strong push on RAW.
Chelsea Green shares her thoughts after becoming the first-ever WWE Women's United States Champion
After the show went off the air, WWE correspondent Byron Saxton interviewed the inaugural Women's United States Champion, Chelsea Green, to get her thoughts on her historic triumph.
The Hot Mess expressed that she was confident in her abilities and noted that now it was her time to shine after ten years of hard work.
"Well Bryan, I always knew this was gonna happen. So I know you're surprised and that's so cute. But I'm not. I've been doing this for 10 years. I've worked my entire life to be an overnight success and this is my time. This is my night. Red, white, and green. Say it with me!"
It remains to be seen what plans Triple H-led creative has in store for Chelsea Green as WWE Women’s United States Champion in the coming weeks.
