36-year-old superstar to help Seth Rollins defeat Damian Priest at WWE Money in the Bank? Exploring the possibility
Last night on RAW, a major stipulation was added to Seth Rollins and Damian Priest's match at Money in the Bank. If the World Heavyweight Championship being on the line wasn't enough, now both superstars have a lot more to lose.
If Damian loses, he will have to leave The Judgment Day, but if Rollins loses, he can never challenge for the title again as long as Priest is the champion. With that in mind, a 36-year-old superstar could help The Visionary prevail in Toronto, Canada. The superstar in question is Gunther.
Now, given The Ring General's character, his helping Seth Rollins seems rather farfetched. But, it's important to remember that the 2024 King of the Ring is a master strategist. And, with a match against the winner at SummerSlam on the cards, helping Rollins may be his best bet.
If there is one criticism to be made of Damian Priest's reign, it's that he has had help in both of his title defenses. First, at Backlash, The Judgment Day helped him against Jey Uso, and at Clash at the Castle, CM Punk ran interference. To avoid that from happening at SummerSlam, Gunther could help Seth Rollins win at Money in the Bank, making things a bit easier for him when August 3, 2024 rolls around.
Gunther will definitely be watching the title match at Money in the Bank closely. However, whether he interferes in it or not remains to be seen. After all, this is nothing more than mere speculation.
Damian Priest told Seth Rollins that he does not need The Judgment Day
Seth Rollins may have pulled off another incredible heist by convincing Damian Priest to agree to his stipulation for Money in the Bank. With his reign as champion being questioned, El Campeon is more determined than ever to prove that he can do things on his own. So much so, that he has readily agreed to leave The Judgment Day if he loses.
But, this does not seem to bother Damian Priest too much. Priest is undoubtedly a proud member of Judgment Day, and a great leader to boot. But, as he told Rollins on RAW, he believes that the group needs him a lot more than he needs them.
It certainly was a bold statement on Priest's part. One that might not sit well with his Judgment Day stable mates. Hopefully, this claim isn't something he comes to regret in the future.
