WWE surprised almost the entire WWE Universe when it allowed Brock Lesnar to walk into a match he wasn’t supposed to be a part of, and walk out as the Money in the Bank briefcase holder little over sixty seconds later.

Not only does this show the creativity of the WWE writers involved but also the value of The Beast to the company.

The Money of the Bank contract allows the holder to cash-in their contract whenever they want for a title opportunity. This is one of the biggest prizes the WWE has to offer to its top superstars apart for the championship belts.

While many men and women have won the briefcase over the past decade, not many have made announced cash-ins and have waited until the right moment to ensure that they win the title they’re after.

Keeping all that in mind, we take a look at the 4 major mistakes WWE has made with the Money in the Bank this year, and its winner Brock Lesnar.

#4 Does Brock need the briefcase?

He's never needed a reason to go after a champion before

Brock Lesnar has been the biggest force in the locker room for WWE since the past five years or so. He’s been built so dominant that no one has had to justify his status in the WWE, and the company has paid him millions of dollars annually to make a handful of appearances each year.

Whenever Brock Lesnar is involved in wrestling, he is always in contention for a major title in the company. Then why did WWE feel the need to have The Beast win the Money in the Bank briefcase to come after Seth Rollins?

Rollins won the Universal Championship after slaying the Beast at WrestleMania 35 and many fans would argue he did so in controversial fashion. Thus, Brock had every reason to return and demand a rematch without the need for the briefcase.

At this point, it seems as though Kevin Owens, Baron Corbin, and even the returning Dolph Ziggler had more of a case of going for the titles than Brock Lesnar which makes The Beast look weaker.
