4 biggest things WWE could be planning at SummerSlam
The Biggest Party of the Summer is just around the corner. The match card is looking awesome with some blockbuster matches. The fans are certainly hyped for the show after exciting episodes of RAW and SmackDown Live.
SummerSlam is the second biggest pay-per-view after WrestleMania. It has a long history as SummerSlam was first held in 1988. The show will be held at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario this year and it will be the thirty-second edition of SummerSlam.
This year, a number of colossal names will compete at SummerSlam. Goldberg, Brock Lesnar, Seth Rollins, Randy Orton, Kofi Kingston, Trish Stratus, Becky Lynch and many more will be part of the event. Both the Universal Title and the WWE Title will be defended at SummerSlam, while the RAW Women's Title and the SmackDown Women's Title will be also on the line. Last year, Becky Lynch turned heel at SummerSlam which altered the course of her career.
Let's discuss the four biggest things WWE could be planning for the Biggest Show of the Summer.
#4 Ali faces Nakamura for the Intercontinental Title
Except for the Intercontinental Championship, all the singles titles are scheduled to be on the line at SummerSlam. Shinsuke Nakamura, who won the title at Extreme Rules, might defend the belt in Toronto. Considering the Intercontinental Championship match was added in the last minute at Extreme Rules, the possibility cannot be ruled out.
Nakamura is having a feud with Ali and the two men fought each other a couple of times. While they locked horns in a title match at SmackVille, they also faced each other in a non-title match last week when the former Cruiserweight Superstar pinned the champion. Ali already defeated Nakamura on SmackDown Live and he certainly deserves another title shot. Ali could be eyeing to win his first title in WWE if he faces the Intercontinental Champion in Toronto.
