4 Conditions Drew McIntyre could lay out for his WWE return

Drew McIntyre has not been seen in WWE since the Bad Blood Premium Live Event, where he lost to CM Punk after a brutal Hell in a Cell match. It was McIntyre's third encounter with Punk since SummerSlam 2024.

McIntyre ended up bleeding severely during the match after Punk hit him with a toolbox. Later, he had to get 16 staples in his head. However, his hiatus from the WWE isn't mainly because of an injury, but also reportedly due to a death in his family. According to Sportskeeda Wrestling's Dr. Chris Featherstone, McIntyre's current absence from the WWE is mainly because of this reason.

However, with Survivor Series: War Games approaching rapidly, McIntyre's return is also expected sometime soon. Moreover, seeing as how the star is currently not involved in any storyline, Drew McIntyre can also put forward certain conditions in front of WWE CCO Triple H for his return.

This article will detail four conditions, that the 39-year-old superstar can potentially put in front of WWE for his return.

#1 Future shot at World Heavyweight Championship

Drew McIntyre might demand a shot at Gunther's World Heavyweight Championship from Triple H as a condition for his return. He had won the title at WrestleMania 40, but his merriment was short-lived as CM Punk, who was doing the commentary, attacked him right after the match. Seconds later, Damian Priest cashed in his Money in the Bank contract and defeated McIntyre to win his first World Heavyweight Championship.

The Scottish Psychopath's further attempts at regaining the prestigious title were also scuttled by CM Punk. Drew won the Money in the Bank contract at the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event in July 2024. He cashed it in during Seth Rollins vs. Damian Priest's World Heavyweight title match.

However, Punk once again played spoilsport, and attacked McIntyre, drilling the final nail in his coffin. Since then, McIntyre and Punk went on to fight each other at three WWE PLEs; SummerSlam; Bash in Berlin, and Bad Blood.

Now that Drew McIntyre's feud with Punk is seemingly over, he can once again ask Triple H to book him against Gunther at Survivor Series: War Games.

#2 Drew McIntyre might ask for a move to SmackDown

The former World Heavyweight Champion might also put forth a condition that he would return only if allowed to compete on the SmackDown brand. McIntyre was drafted to RAW in April 2023, and since then, he has been part of the red brand's roster.

He has crossed paths with every top superstar on RAW, ranging from Gunther, and Seth Rollins to CM Punk and Damian Priest. The Scottish Warrior might now put forth a condition for his return - A request to be moved to SmackDown, where he could get the chance to challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship.

#3 Drew McIntyre might demand a rematch with CM Punk

McIntyre can also demand another rematch with CM Punk, which if allowed would be the fourth battle in their rivalry. As CM Punk is also on a hiatus from WWE after Bad Blood, Drew McIntyre can demand one more match against Punk, as a condition for his WWE return.

Since SummerSlam, the two have fought against each other thrice, with Punk winning two fights and McIntyre tasting victory once, at SummerSlam. So, McIntyre can demand one more match from Triple H against Punk to equalize the score and ensure Punk doesn't claim superiority over him.

#4 Drew McIntyre might demand the No. 30 spot in the 2025 Royal Rumble

If McIntyre doesn't have plans for a return before Survivor Series, then he might demand a return at Royal Rumble next year at entry number 30. This shall be the smartest condition put forth by The Scottish Psychopath, as an entry at this position increases his chances of winning the match. This victory would secure his direct ticket to the WrestleMania 41 main event, possibly for the Undisputed WWE Championship.

The former WWE Champion won the 30-men Battle Royal in 2020 when he eliminated the likes of Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns. He then went on to defeat Lesnar at WrestleMania 36, for the gold.

However, that victory came in an empty arena as the Corona virus-induced lockdown had pushed WWE to have WrestleMania 36 without fans. If Drew McIntyre wants another ticket for WrestleMania, then he can put forth his condition of returning at the No. 30 spot at Royal Rumble 2025. The WWE Universe has to wait and see how he scripts his comeback.
